Just on Facebook? Gocomics.com didn't list it.

Looks like it's just on Facebook. Donald Trump's presidential campaign apparently figured into Berkely Breathed's decision to start (virtually) publishing again.

I like Opus's definition of the internet.

FINALLY!!!!

For you kids who don't know or remember, Bloom County was one of the greatest cartoon strips EVER.
I can't believe it's really been 25 years.

"and we'll be back, ( boiiing boiiing boiiiing ) yeah we'll be back, cuz we're the Boingerrrz!"

That little musical reference is from their hit single, "I'm a Boinger." In the strip, the gang formed a rock band called Billy and the Boingers. The big anthology book which featured that time period included an actual 45 record of two of their songs, "I'm a Boinger" and "U stink but I luv you." They're both horrible, but that was the whole point, so they're really great. You can find them on Youtube.

So they were right. They're back. All is right with the world.

"I don't know what boinging is, but I bet Jim does." - Tammy Faye Bakker.

Yup, I still have that book, and my stuffed Bill de Cat, complete with the tag still attached to him. It just seems more Bill-like to have the tag attached.

Oh, and I can't forget -

BILL AND OPUS IN 2016! :)

I-I see. So it's a newspaper comic from and for old people? ">_>

Damn kids stay off my lawn.

(Ahem)

More relavently, this is a comic that snarks hard on the politics of the USA. There's often enough silliness for it to have broader appeal, too.

Doesn't anybody else remember when it came back to newspapers around 2001 or so? Ran for about three weeks, congratulated itself for returning, showed one or two characters grown up then went away again. Was I dreaming? Am I taking crazy pills?

I don't think that's quite right. He did a Sunday only cartoon called Opus (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opus_%28comic_strip%29) from 2003-2008. Before that, he created Outland in 1989 when he ended Bloom County. It ran on Sundays into 1995, but I think you are thinking of Opus.
