Carbonite Rifle range

The carbonite rifle is a stun only weapon, and it doesn't give a range. Does that mean that it's range is 6 squares as default even though that rule is for weapon with a stun setting? Or does it get the full range?

If you check page 162 of the core book, you'll see the 6-square limitation only applies to blasters on the stun setting. As the Carbonite Rifle is not a blaster, the limit does not apply.

Technically, as it is a Heavy Weapon, it should use the heavy weapon range.
