If a similar thread exists currently, I apologise and please link it here. But I am looking for advice on how to go about implementing Epic levels into my campaign. With the way things are going Epic Boons just don't fit the way I would like them too.

Altfuldisch homebrewed some epic level stuff, you can find it here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?412968-5e-Epic-Classes-(levels-21-30)).

Some ideas to get you to level 30:

Raise the maximum ability score to 24 (28 for a barbarian STR & CON)
Give ASIs at levels 24 and 28; fighters get one at 26, too.
Progress the full caster spell slots: 21 add a second 8th, 22 add a second 9th, 23 add a 2nd and 6th, and so on.
Other stuff is class and archetype specific.

We decided that level 20 is the absolute pinnacle of performance for a class, but did put into place a system to multiclass past level 20; allowing Epic Boons to be taken as feats after 20, starting spell progression over for 20+ spell casters (meaning you don't get a second level 9 slot until level 37), and increasing stat maximums by 1 every five levels past 20 (capping at 30 at level 70 in theory, acknowledging that epic-epic-epic barbarians get shafted on a capstone)

All in theory for NPCs, no player has gotten near there yet

In another thread I proposed to allow multiclassed characters to take more than 20 class levels, and to allow single classed characters to start a new class after 20th level.

It would go like this:

-The Proficiency Bonus doesn't go above +6
-The Ability Cap remains at 20 (unless Tomes or Manuals are used).
-No more than 20 hit dice, but when you level up you can change one of your smaller HD for one of your bigger HD (for example, if your character is a Paladin 10/Bard 10 with 10d10+10d8 hp, and he takes another level of Paladin, he can replace one d8 HD with another d10 HD, and he becomes a 11d10 + 9d8 hp character).

That would allow progression while keeping the characters' power within playable levels.
