I need an RPG for X-TREME MURDERHOBOS who need combat to be fun and simple. Risus hasn't worked in the past.

Feng Shui 2 (http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/148541/Feng-Shui-2) or Wushu (http://danielbayn.com/wushu/) if you want to cut the rules right down while bringing the descriptions up.

I suggest the RPG-7 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RPG-7).

In reality, most D20 systems were made with the murderhobo ideal in mind, so...

Dungeons & Dragons: (http://dnd.wizards.com/) murderin' monsters since 1977

Barbarians of Lemuria is similar to D&D but faster. The game's designer has a bunch of fun free games (http://beyondbeliefgames.webs.com/freestuff.htm) on his site as well.

Atomic Highway (http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/70124/Atomic-Highway--Post-Apocalyptic-Roleplaying) is a fun & easy post-apocalyptic game with a "Mad Max" feel. Also FREE.

What kind of settings do they like? Modern? Fantasy? Horror? Sci-Fi?

This person has won this thread.

"Also, I'll need an Everything Else roll to see how hard you won the thread."

He said simple so dnd is out of question.
But a RPG-7 might be cool you just aim at your target then shoot and the innocent guy you targeted is surely dead.

D&D 5th is dirt simple, compared to previous editions. I recommend the game highly

I haven't played it myself, but I've heard some good things about Brutal:

Came here to suggest this, found I was beaten.

Now, mind you it's an unnecessarily complex system...if I recall correctly it requires rolls like d40 and d60, and has to explain just how to do so (in a surreally abrasive manner, as well).

If you are looking for something similar to D&D3e and the d20 system - and the use of "murderhobos" seems to indicate that - then the X-Crawl (http://www.goodman-games.com/xcrawl.html) system might be worth looking it. It's basically D&D with additional silly powers, and a strong emphasis on keeping everything in the game moving forward. Note that I've only played the game once or twice, and only as a player, so I'm not sure how easy it is to set up.

Basic D&D (Moldvay, Red Box (BECMI), or Rules Cyclopedia) is very simple compared to d20 or even 5th.

AD&D is pretty simple compared to later editions too, though not as simple as Basic.

:smalleek: wow

They like sci-fi. Also, sandbox games?
I think I might go with Wushu. I've heard about it before. Someone told me it would be an ideal game for my little siblings because they always talk and talk and talk and talk and talk /*(and talk)/ forever and ever.
Killsplosion has an intriguing name and also looks fun and is free. Maybe that?

*EDIT: I might try the RPG-7, actually.
