I love the themes the warlock class bring to the table. Any character who wound up pledging himself to some sort of mysterious (Great old one), downright weird (Archfey), or devil (Fiend) will almost always have some sort of interesting backstory which is fun to explore in game.

However, the warlock subclasses in of themselves are pretty limited. Playing a warlock of Dagon, a demon lord of the abyss who resides in water, gives you the same classic "kill them all with fire" benefits as playing a warlock of Asmodeus. This is my attempt to change this.

Considering the absurd amount of homebrew I've been coming up with lately, I feel like it would be prudent of me to make one big thread with links to all my specific warlock patrons. Below I've put all the warlock patron subclasses I've made into nice categories for your convenience. Furthermore, if you're looking for a warlock subclass that has general features, you're in luck! I've provided brief descriptions of each warlock class right after the link to it.

Devils

If you use any of these warlock subclasses in a game, post a link to the game in this thread or send me a pm! I don't have the ability to playtest all of these personally, so I'd love to see how these classes work for you guys.

If you'd be willing I've got some warlock patrons completed and more in the works that I would love to add to this list.

The Inescapable Void (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?427416-New-Warlock-Patron-The-Inescapable-Void-(PEACH))
The Immemorial Glacier (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?414736-PEACH-New-Warlock-Patron-The-Immemorial-Glacier-Spells)

I'll be sure to let you know when others are finished. Keep up what you've got though, I like the diversity for your separation of Demons/Devils for the fiend.

So I just found out about rage of demons. (http://www.sageadvice.eu/2015/08/01/rage-of-demons-revealed-kings-lords-queen-and-prince/) I've got a nice sampling of official demons to base warlock classes on, and I've got until September 15th until the book comes out. If I complete 1 subclass every 6 days, I'll have subclasses for all of them ready for DM's before the module comes out for them to do as they see fit.

So, Which demon do you want to see me make a class for next? (http://strawpoll.me/5095715)

So just letting you know, this is the "Walrok" Patron thread. You might want to fix it.

That gives me the idea for "Walrok, Dark Lord of Typos" as a potential Warlock patron.

But on a more serious note I might do a few specific Fey along the lines of these example Fiends. Good stuff.

I just realized that I could apply this concept to Paladins, and make paladin subclasses different for any deity a paladin serves.....

I'm totally going to do that later.

I could see something similar with fighters and wizards too. Fighter subclasses based around a particular organization and their tactics. Wizard subclasses based around particular teachers or magic institutions. Muahahahaha

Well, here's your chance! (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?433997-5E-Looking-for-DM-willing-to-run-a-game-for-testing-homebrew) I could use your help playtesting these classes.

Edited a bunch of spell lists with some new elemental evil spells.

If you don't have the elemental evil handbook, don't worry! There's a perfectly legal pdf on the wizards of the coast website containing all the races and spells that came with that book.

If you think any of the spells on any patron's subclass should be replaced, let me know.

Alright, Demogorgon is complete. Only one more demon lord to go for the rage of demons release.

On that topic, what Set of creatures do you guys want me to work on next? I'm kinda sick of dealing with fiends all the time, and I'd love to branch out to other creatures. Let me know what patron I should work on (and why you want that patron) after I finish the subclass for Baphomet next week.

To clarify: you can start telling me now. I'm just making the class for Baphomet next week.

Why not go back and forth between Fey and Old Ones? That might make you less sick of either one when you're 5 or 6 deep in 'em.

That said, it'll probably be easier to think of Fey than Old Ones, so maybe 1 goodish fey, one nastier fey, 1 old one, repeat.

Nicking them off The Bard* , specifically A Midsummer Night's Dream is always a classic - Oberon, Titania, Puck, etc.

Celtic Mythology will also find you some good ones: Cu Chulainn, Taliesin, Fionn mac Cumhaill, Medb/Maeve, the Morrígan, the Dagda, etc... (Yes, some of these may have some very sketchy historical basis, but no-one seems to mind St. Cuthbert, the fact that if you take a wander round Durham Cathedral you can have a look at his tomb notwithstanding.)

*Obligatory joke about Magical Secrets: In capitalist west, you nick mystical ideas off The Bard . In Soviet Faerun, bard nicks f mystical ideas off you! (I apologise, I'll go now).

The Goblin King is Jareth, silly. Everyone knows that.

I'd probably start with the ones given as examples in the Player's Handbook, then move on from there.

As for Great Old Ones, the default abilities seem to be geared towards having the Hypnotoad as your patron, so you can move on to the examples listed in the PH, the Lovecraftian old ones, and then just start slapping the keyboard to come up with new names for old ones and theme them however you want.

Overall I love what I have read of these. I too would like to see some fey and goo options from you.

My only major qualm I have with your approach is that some patrons pretty much require certain pacts. While some original pact/patron combos work or better than others, they are all viable.

As a whole very cool work.

So..... I have some explaining to do.

School swallowed up my life, and I was sick of making fiend warlocks all the time.....

And that about wraps up all the explaining I can do. That's all there is to it.

However, I'm back now, and I've noticed that some of my patrons have gotten some feed back recently, I'll be addressing those in the upcoming days. After that, I'm going to start working on warlock patrons for other entities at random. I probably won't make another fiend warlock for a while though.

I'm open to suggestions on what you guys want me to do first.
