Dragon Familiar nets you a wyrmling dragon as a familiar.
When acquiring a new familiar, you can choose a wyrmling dragon.
There's no reference for what happens as the dragon ages. It doesn't say you lose the familiar if it advances an age category.
Wyrmlings are 0-5 years old. Even assuming they were complete hatchlings, I've seen campaigns last much longer than 5 years of in-game time. Heck, I've seen them last 15+ years of in-game time. Some Young dragons get pretty beefy. Is there any text anywhere that would counter this?
