With the many different D&D supplement books out from WotC, there are several ... I guess you can call them "systems" completely different from Core D&D. I'm talking about Psionics, Tome of Battle, Tome of Magic (Pact, Shadow and Truename Magic) and Incarnum. I'm just wondering which of these systems people use/allow in their games. It seems like most people either use Core magic only or Core magic and Psionics, or with Tome of Battle. Please vote for as many of the choices as you use- I'll go ahead and start it out.

Presently using Core only. My wife just ordered ToB, which I think will be a nice addition.

All of them.

Don't have ToB, I do use small tidbits of ToM, mainly pact magic, don't use Incarnum, and I have never fully understood psionics :smallfrown:

My groups usually allow all of the above, though most folks stick with Core, then psionics. I've seen a little bit of ToB and ToM, but no Incarnum.

All of them.

I thought I set up the poll with the option of letting people select multiple choices... did I screw that up?

Yeah I don't actually know anyone who uses Incarnum but I think Fax Celestis does, because he frequently mentions it.

Yes.

Also, I use incarnum frequently. A couple of the soulmelds are quite useful.

Ah, sorry bout that. I wish they gave some sort of preview for the poll or let you change it :smallfrown:

Core, Tome of Battle, and Incarnum. At the moment.

Will do psionics once I get around to buying the EPH.

I allow all of them.
Sad. I don't seem to be able to vote for more than one.

All of them except Tome of Magic

My friend is a Binder... so Tome of Magic. No one in my party is a Psion, and I don't really know that much about the Tome of Battle or Incarnum.

I allow everyone of them. I am a big fan of anything that isn't a core full spellcaster.

Then again, I allow Archivist, apparently more broken than cleric is, so it is probably not balance issues.

The top three options.

I might use Tome of Battle with changed flavor, otherwise nothing from that list.

Up until now, our games have been core & complete series only.

However, I'm just starting off a new campaign which allows both Psionics and Tome of Battle. It'll be the first time anyone in the group has tried the systems out, so there's been a rush to the new classes. We'll see how it goes.

Core only now but mainly because one of my players threatened to quit if I allowed psionics.

I use everything I can get my hands on, from third-party books to articles on the Wizards site.

What I use most, however; Core, the XPH, ToM, MoI, Complete series.
I enjoy all the 'alternative' systems, and the only reason I'm not using ToB is because I don't have it.

Core only now but mainly because one of my players threatened to quit if I allowed psionics.

Thats ridiculous.

Anyway, in my new campaign its only Pact magic with no Vancian or psionic magic at all.

Each and everyone one of them.
And chances are good if another magic system comes out I'll allow it and accept it with open arms. I am a man who enjoys his diversity.

I would ban that player from my table. I barely even use psionics, but any player willing to try and leverage me with something like that over something so trivial doesn't deserve a chair at my home. i can maybe see it in an older D&D where learning psionics was like teaching yourself an alien language, but new psionics is just different flavored magic.

I use ToB a lot and I am starting a campaign that allows Incarnum. I have Psionics, but have yet to use it since I usually DM and no one remembers to play psionics.

I generally use core and ToB although I am starting to get interested in Incarnum.

I use every book I have access to, setting-specific or otherwise.

Psionics, although I'm branching into ToB

I'd have to choose all of the above.

Psionics & Tome of Battle are a must. Tome of Magic and Incarnum are also nice additions for added variety.

So ToB stands for Tome of Battle? I kept thinking people were talking about Throne of Bhaal and making fan made mods for it.

I allow/use all of them. Although I tend to prefer the totemist to the other incarnum classes and typically warn players about the high DC's for Truespeak checks. I'm a psionics junkie, though! (voted Psioincs.)

I love ToB, but I have not actually used in-game.

Core on our chat.

I've used all of them bar incarnum, which ill look into eventually

Tome of Battle I only use for one small part of my homebrew world, I don't like it, nor does it fit for anything else.
