Hey all,

Just trying to figure out the various ways to be immune to blindness/blinding in 3.5 (not just for PCs). Note: for senses, I'm not counting Blindsense, Scent or others that still have a miss chance when you are blinded.

Spells/powers:
- Synesthete
- Touchsight
- Vision of the Omniscient Eye

Items:
- Goggles of the Golden Sun
- Blindfold of True Darkness*
- Raptor's Mask

Creatures/types:
- Oozes
- Half-prismatic dragon

Senses that get around being blinded:
- Blindsight
- Mindsight

I'm sure there are many I'm missing.

Cheers - T

Synesthete (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/powers/synesthete.htm) will do it.

On items, the Raptor's Mask from the MIC (page 210) gives you immunity to Blindness.

The Touchsight (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/powers/touchsight.htm) power is basically just better Blindsight.
Synesthete (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/powers/synesthete.htm) can give you a weird alternate vision that gives you immunity to blindness.

Also, its worth noting that Mindsight still suffers miss chance like Blindsense or Scent do, so maybe it shouldn't be on your list?

Buff spells can provide immunity to blindness. Cast "Vision of the Omniscient Eye" (DM) and you're immune to being blinded (and can see normally if you're blind when the spell is cast).

Half-prismatic dragons are immune to blindness.

Mindsight doesn't make you immune to blindness. You only become aware of non-mindless beings, and will smack into all the parts of the environment that you can't see. And, as AmberVael noted, you still only know the squares those non-mindless beings occupy, and very little else about them.

Just awaken all of your walls and furniture.

Tremorsense for ground-bounded objects/creatures.

The Scent Feat after Improved Scent (Savage species), but only within 20'.

You could make an argument that repeated uses of Instant Search (SpC 124) might work as might a quickened Spontaneous Search (Dr325).

Listening Lorecall (Spell) grants blindsense with enough ranks in listen (SpC)

The Shoulders bind of the Shadow Mantle gives a really weird form of blindsight.
