This is pretty elementary, but I have a question. Currently I'm running a Bard 7/Fighter 1, and the BAB add up to 6. Do I get a second attack?

Correct.

Your number of iterative attacks is based upon your cumulative BAB from levels. That means if you have multiple classes, you total your BAB from all of them. (Note that any enhancements that grant an attack bonus, such as having a +1 sword, don't contribute to this calculus.) You gain an additional attack each time you pass a 5. So you get a second attack when you hit +6(/+1), a third when you hit +11(/+6/+1), and a fourth at +16/(+11/+6/+1).

So, yes, a Bard 7/ Fighter 1 has +5 BAB from Bard levels, and +1 from Fighter, totaling +6. That gives you two attacks; one at +6, and another at +1.
