Some creatures get to use their wings as a source of attack or as something to aid in an attack, but is there any kind of equipment/spell or effect that allows your average winged creature to do something with their wings other than fly?

Like "Wing-blades", or a "Wing-sheath" or something? Tails get plenty of love. Is there something for wings?

Only thing I'm aware of is that maneuver feat that lets you gust of wind and such. I get that wings are a delicate thing that need to be un-cluttered to work for flying, but its still a whole extra set of appendages and so the thought of them being so un-used kinda irks me. :smallannoyed:

I believe it's in Spell Compendium is the spell Adamantine Wings - 7th level arcane, lasts hours. Gives you wings that can be used to melee attack, and can be discharged for an aoe attack.

For large creatures the hover (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsterFeats.htm#hover) feat does stuff.

Are you similarly worried about the legs on humans?

Anything that improves unarmed strike would improve your characters "Wing damage" if you flavour your unarmed strike as attacking with your wings.

As others have said - even without the creature having a specific wing attack, you can fluff unarmed strike on a winged creature this way.

The Buffeting Wings graft (Races of the Dragon, pg. 127) gives you wings that can be used to fly and can be used to attack people, but I don't know offhand of anything that weaponizes pre-existing wings.

If PF is on the table, the Metallic Wings (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/racial-feats/metallic-wings-aasimar) feat allows an Aasimar to gain a secondary attack with his wings, although the prerequisites are obscene. (One rubbish feat tax (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/racial-feats/angelic-blood-aasimar), one semi-rubbish feat tax (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/racial-feats/angelic-flesh-aasimar), and one decent feat (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/racial-feats/angel-wings-aasimar).)
