Quick draw

For the purpose of quick draw I've been using it as a way to freely switch between weapons without penalty. Though after reading more I found it only let's me draw a single weapon faster but says nothing about sheathing it. Would I essentially drop my to grab the new weapon one or am I spending my move action to put my other weapon away first? Or does it not matter

By RAW, sheathing a weapon is a Move Action not covered by Quick Draw, you can definitely drop your first weapon to draw another and still keep all your actions though.

If you have TWF (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/combat/actionsInCombat.htm#draworSheatheaWeapon) then you can draw two weapons (Light or One handed) as a free action.

'Quick Draw lets you quick sheathe' is also an extremely common house rule, so you could try asking your DM.
