Google makes Autolycus look like a casanova or a ladies' man. I'm having a hard time finding good screenshots, but he is basically your stereotypical D&D thief doing all the thief stuff: stealing, sneaking, conning, disabling traps, bluffing, and lots of disguises. His somewhat cheesy yet effective disguises (and the personalities that went with them) were part of his charm. I remember him playing the part of a high priest, an assassin, a couple different old ladies, and Gabrielle even iirc.

The first picture is very nice, but not quite what I'm looking for. Though I do know someone who might use that picture for their character.

A good way to describe it would be sort of like the lovechild of a Mars Rover and a Metal Gear.

Let me take a look at those. I terms of wing coloration I'd say number fits my mental image best, but number two is closer in overall look. I envision these moth people as great prophets and mediums, even capable of calling the dead to them. Their write up will be in the rough style of Saga Edition, with a little bit else mixed in. All of these image requests are for this project. As for the clothing for the human couple either one would work. Mostly armored for warriors, robes/robe like coats or cloaks for mages, courtier style outfits for nobility, leather jackets and the like for thieves and rogues and hunting gear for scouts/archers.

I should mention that I was looking for something a little more mothanish for my moth people.

So, because of my players failure the last session I need pictures for two of my NPCs to show what they look like now.

A quick description:
Both are females elves, one turned into a vampire and the other into a lich.

The vampire has class levels in crusader and figher and walks around in a fullplate. So if that is possible to see in the picture it would be great :)
The Lich is just a full dreadnecromancer so aslong as it is not metal she can wear whatever.

Maybe. I search art more often than most. Mind you, concept art doesn't typically have characters in action poses or with backgrounds. So if you want something really dynamic, that's not going to help. What it does help do is reduce the results to just art, and only art. (No pictures from articles and movies) If you want a really good static shot of scientists, that's pretty much your best bet. Also, make use of the "Find Similar Images" ability of google until you stumble across something.
You can also try deviantart or instagram.

I need pictures of Dwarves that arent from LotR or The Hobbit.

I am trying to accumulate a random roster of NPCs to fill up a Dwarven city and underground kingdom, but all of my google-fu is giving is LotR/Hobbit screen caps.

If they could look as "regal" as possible, as in well kept armor/weapons, very overly stylized armor decorations and fancy craftwork done on weapons, that'd be great.

Also, if there are any in particular that are using Great Weapons (Big 2-Handers) those would be extra helpful, as I have a unique military unit in the city that specializes in big weapon shock trooper stuff. Think Battleragers but with Greataxes/Mauls instead of spikey armor.

I'm trying to find a trim male human or near-human in brightly colored clothing or maybe light armor (vaguely Jamaican or Caribbean in style is best), with background and trappings that have no hint of modernity. Cappucino skin color would be perfect but I'm not picky. My googlage keeps giving me photos rather than art, and mostly photos of fashion models at that.

I'm also looking for a companion to that same person, who looks similar to him except shorter and ridiculously beefcake, with a tendency to strike poses. Could be any squat wrestler/boxer sort in bright clothing, but similarity of skin color and facial features would make my day. The second creature is supposed to be the physicality of the first one, split off and made self-aware (kinda).

So I need help from my fellow giants. I recently built a Pathfinder character based on a challenge from a friend of mine and have since become hell-bent on fleshing her out to completion. Thankfully, I'm on the last piece. Which is also the hardest. A picture. And I'm cursed with all the intellectual ability in the world, but can't draw a stick figure without it looking like Picasso on LSD.

So I'm reaching out to ya'll. Here's quick background (as quick and succinct as I ever am);

Female Halfling Arcanist (Twilight Sage)- Merissa Grimsdottir is a halfling who has had it rough; the daughter of a pair of Chelish slaves, she was sold to a nobleman in Thrune at a young age, raised by other slaves. In her teens, Merissa was sold again to a noble in Geb, the Grimsdottir clan and their lord, a vampire mage of respectable reknown. Bored of conversations of plotting with his fellow undead, he took to talking to Merissa as a way to pass time, and found her to be highly intelligent who was quite swift with her words and her presence. Over time, the mage began schooling her on how to combine book magic with internal magic (the path of the Arcanist) in the only way he knew how (the Twilight Sage). Over time, he began granting her more and more autonomy, all but legally adopting her and removing her slave-hood. Since then, Merissa is treated as an agent of the Grimsdottir clan, adopting their surname.
As a result of her time in Geb and the desert, the highly attractive halfling has developed a heavy tan. She has since dyed her hair silvery white, and dresses in loose robes/shrouds/dresses to combat the desert heat. She will dress provocatively when weather permits, but it's never over the top.

TL;DR- Request sexy halfling female mage, possibly with necromantic elements and silver hair (both optional)

Someone has already done it, so I'm just dropping a tip I think may be helpful. From what you say I think you've tried to select the hair and then with different blending modes (colour, hue, normal) and transparencies you're tried a brush or the filler over the hair. It occurs to me that perhaps you'd get it done easier by selecting and then use the hue-brightness tool and use the sliders of hue, brightness and saturation until getting the right colour. Maybe I'm figuring it wrong and you tried that too. Or maybe it's not as easy as I think it is from the one time I did it (it was just to change the colour of a jacket, so it wasn't something that required as much precision to get the right colour as hair). I just thought perhaps it is easier and it might help you in a future attempt at recoloring something to try it that way.

It requires a lot of careful adjustment on multiple sliders but this is the easiest way to do it in my experience. Sometimes I add in an overlay the tweak the color some more.

So when I see a Drow in revealing armor, I think "that's completely appropriate for their culture" plus unless they are a non-caster (rare) then they aren't going to wear any armor and what they are wearing is not meant as protective gear, but rather as fashionable Drow society clothing.

If you've read the Drizzt set of books where he visits the underdark and his home city, they go into a lot of detail about how it works. The sexual stuff is a way to keep the men under control. Kind of like how some evil women in real life manipulate men with sexuality. Its just that their entire culture is about dominating things and their God is a a female. Its also a competition to see which woman is the prettiest. The kind of stuff women fight over in real life but brought into a culture where killing is an acceptable way to solve a disagreement. Where modesty is not a thing. Its about the absence of the things that make the real world (or even the fantasy world) above ground 'civilized'.

consider that things like the large scale frescoes of the like of renaissance Rome where the work of years or decades, there is simply too many banks for the access - consider that most of the great pieces are at most standard canvas size, and for most professional artists a full painting takes around 20-40 hours of work, and consider how long a full wall would take? or every building in the world

thats also before considering cost - a simple fluted pillar? more expensive than a plain stone wall, but compared to an expertly carved one? its downright budget; artists, and high talent in general, cost money to hire

of course thats not to say the world is drab; if you ever get a chance, visit renaissance Italy, or the great cities of Greece, or heck, for a more modern take the present day murals of some of the brilliant street artists of new York or the like. almost every city in the world will boast some areas of great artistic beauty, you may just need to go look for them :smallbiggrin:

Its a Wargame that is changing to its 3rd edition this year, this being its eleven year anniversary.
Wurmwood is Yggdrissal in a lot of ways and it gets a new meat puppet every couple of years, the meat puppet is there for communication purposes mostly.
Its oddly fond of Cassius it's current as it demanded that the settings equivalent of Baba Yaga show respect to its puppet.

Trouble with looking for water walking right now is that video of the monk walking on boards on top of water is all over the place. Normally its difficult to find stuff like that anyways because of the biblical connotations of walking on water. Unless you just type of naruto fanart.

Walking on clouds is even harder because in art its really hard to tell whether someone is walking or flying.

In other words, it doesn't actually matter what she's wearing, as long as she's recognizable as Maven. Which I take to mean that whatever she's wearing should be purple, but can be any level of reasonable. (As a side note, leather is actually horrible for stealth, as it makes the most conspicuous squeaking noises... unless it's very soft leather. But I digress.)

This images are the female transmogs of the Sorcerer's Regalia from WoW (http://www.wowhead.com/transmog-set=574/sorcerers-regalia)/. The male versions have the otherwise skin-colored part be dark blue instead, so maybe the thigh cut-out actually is exposed skin/fur for worgens? But then Google isn't throwing up any other images of the exposed thigh version, and even the goblin female doesn't have exposed thighs. Nevertheless, it's fairly easy to imagine no actual exposure is taking place.

Thanks, those are some good pics. I mentioned what didn't matter over what did matter because I didn't want to accidentally make it too restrictive and thought with that was enough for those who may have seen something that fits my request to get it.

Among what matters would be, mainly: 1) face shape (thin chin though not that thin jaw, shortish nose). 2) Looks young, I'd say appearance between 20 and 35 yo 3) from white to blond hair. 4) Hair with fringe (what Google translate returns for Spanish "flequillo" to English, I thought it was bangs. The hair covering forehead), and length not so short hairs stand up over the skull but not so long it can't be called short anymore I'd say as limits. 5) Skin tone is not extremely important, but if a white character I'd prefer from pale to mildly tanned, not very tanned, though black characters would work, as do Asians.

Basically to have a degree of resemblance.

Not all of the five must check. I think with three would be enough. I'd say I placed them in order of preference. Also no need for you to recolour it. Which doesn't mean I don't appreciate that DontEvenAsk recoloured his suggestions, and very well too. :cool:

Autolycus was actually quite the conman in the series... That's usually what the plot revolved around when he was involved. The problem is, when you're running a con, you usually are disguised as something else to make it work...

At any rate, I think you are being too nitpicky and aren't going to find what you're looking for.

My 2 cents: Looking for a conman who actually looks like a conman is looking for a really bad conman. If they could just be identified by sight, they wouldn't be able to pull off anything. Its the equivalent of having a big sign that says "Secret Door"

Depends on what the rogue is doing. If theyre doing, say, some second story work, theres a good chance that they will have a bunch of equipment with them that, in context, could only be used for that kind of work. Their thing is that they don't get seen at all, because when they are seen, they are immediately visible as rogues. Conmen, on the other hand, aren't, by design. There are a couple of things that would give it away, such as them doing a shell game and catching a brief snapshot of the ball going up their sleeve, but by and large an effective conman is not visibly distinguishable from the thing he is pretending to be.

Hey everyone!
I was hoping I could get help finding a specific image, which I've been trying to locate for ages. My memory on it is a little vague, but here's what I've got

-Takes place in a dark ally, probably at night. clearly an urbane setting.
-A member of one of the smaller races (probably a halfling) is defending a scantly clade woman (i think she was an elf, though she may have been a tiefling. also there may have been two women) from… something. I don't think the threat was fully in the picture, but I wanna say an orc, or a bugbear.
-The "halfling" is dressed all in white, has light hair, is standing in a low fighting stance/crouch, and has some kind of glowy sword/spell thing.

Back when I originally saw this image, my first thought was "vigilantes in fantasy Sin City" and that concept has since evolved into a full campaign setting, which I may put my players through at some point. Consequently I would really like to find the image that originally sparked the idea.

Requesting all your Chinese, Korean, Southeast Asian, Middle Eastern, African, Mongolian, and racially ambiguous fantasy art, please.

Caveats:

The only Japanese styling (kimono, samurai armor, ninja getups, katana, and so forth) should be on catfolk or small-sized races, or Greek mythological creatures (Minotaur, Satyr, and Centaur specifically). Catfolk should be between 70% and 100% "furry" (http://i1.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/facebook/000/856/084/7cb.jpg) (inclusive). Tibbits would be a plus, also in Japanese kit, but they're by no means required - halflings or gnomes look similar enough.


Elves should ideally have dark hair, and if possible dark skin (can be anywhere from tan to drow, not picky). Elves that look particularly arcane are right out. Wild elves and drow would be ideal, and female drow should be sensibly clothed. Bonus points for male drow that are not sensibly clothed (and not in a Shoulders of Doom (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ShouldersOfDoom) way).


Gnomes understandably have a tendency to be very bright and somewhat crazy, but a few more sedate and possibly even sinister specimens would be greatly appreciated.


Traditional (read: ambiguously GermaniCeltic with long braided beards) dwarves are iffy at best; would prefer Middle Eastern styled dwarves or ones that look somewhat spiritual.


Goblins would likewise be preferred if they resemble bhukas (http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/eberron/images/7/7a/87588.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20120204180510) (desert goblins) or forestkith goblins (http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/warriorsofmyth/images/6/68/Forestkith_Goblin.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20130521004246) (shaggy, somewhat ape-like goblins), or have some sort of visible mark on their foreheads (not both, though). I do prefer my goblins (and orcs, and half-orcs) to look less like slavering Always Chaotic Evil subhuman monsters and more like marginally civilized members of society (which society, please note, is unspecified).


Tieflings, aasimar, and genasi would be much appreciated. Pathfinder's random tiefling feature table (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/races/other-races/featured-races/arg-tiefling) will be in use, so images with any of the features on there will be fine. Aasimar may be blond(e); normal humans should not. Illumians, Killoren (other medium-sized or medium-passing, non-winged fey with greenish tints to their skin or even greenish lighting will do, but not the Races of the Wild Killoren illustrations, please; they're positively abominable), and changelings are more optional, but will win you brownie points.

Stuff that's not from 3.5 sourcebooks would be much preferred. Additionally, a few dragons that look like a sort of cross between Western and Eastern depictions would not go amiss. Female art should be minimally cakey, if at all (that is, combatants in functional armor, everyone else in clothes that, while they needn't all cover from neck to ankles, should look like something a real-life person might at some point in history wear out of the house).

This is one of my son's characters that I took time to photoshop together from a bunch of different images to capture him as well as possible. The goat's head (homegrown race: shatoar), magical tattoo, rose shaped staff, tentacle motif on the robe, even the art supplies peeking out of the belt pouch, are all specific to the character. Took me ages, but very satisfying, and ended up on a t-shirt for his 16th birthday.

She's android from Pathfinder. I'm looking for a picture that could be her male counterpart. Preferably wizardly-looking (robes, spellbook and scrolls not strictly necessary, but sci-fi clothes won't do). Dagger/knife, gun (either flintlock or hi-tech energy pistol) or unarmed, preferably pale skin (though lighter color matching the tattoos would be fine too), hair color doesn't matter either, if he's bald, so much better. The important thing are the supposedly circuit-like "tattoos". Purple, blue or green color prefered, but anything could work. It doesn't have to be a full-body pic, just head would be enough.

My Google and DeviantArt search has failed, all the characters with vaguely similar description were female. Anyone have anything like that?

Alright, I'm trying to solidify a character concept and could use some good art as an inspiration. I'm going to be playing a Unchained Rogue with the hidden blade archetype in an upcoming game and I'm trying to decide between playing the class as is with a two weapon fighting focus (thrashing dragon, veiled moon, shattered mirror and either the default mithral current discipline or swapping in tempest gale) or reworking the discipline list (veiled moon, shattered mirror, scarlet throne, and tempest gale disciplines, house rules like this are generally approved at my table) and using a single rapier with the scarlet throne style. The rapier fencer would definitely be a switch hitter, I'm not sure if I'd want to take that route with the two weapon fighting since keeping three good weapons is crazy expensive.

What I need from the playground is all the good rogue with a rapier or rogue with two swords you can find.
