Incidentally, you rarely need more than one spoiler. If you have lots of pictures and you want to divide them into groups, maybe a few more. Lots and lots of spoilers is just a pointless irritation.

That is 100% a matter of personal taste. You find lots of spoilers an irritation; I find any fewer spoilers than I used in my post equally irritating. Seriously, I don't want to scroll past sixty-four images and a caption to go back to just the one picture I want to look at again. It's like how some blog host websites put the "reblog" and "reply" buttons alllllll the way at the top of a post, so once you've read all the way to the bottom you have to spam PgUp to get to the top. I hate that. Too many images all together without spoilers or divisions makes my eyes glaze over, which would be a shame with all that lovely manservice.

Provide more captions that aren't sorted by spoilers. I just went through the trouble of clicking on ALL the spoilers, and ended up placing selected images in new tabs (http://puu.sh/pooLz/ef874ea9ce.jpg) anyway.

Okay, now that my debt has been payed, I could use a little help. I'm working on two characters- a married couple named Ellyeta and Denzel Daggertongue.

Ellyeta is a cleric of Alseta, and I'm currently using this image for her:

While I like the image, the expression shown by the woman in the picture is one that my character will rarely have. She serves the goddess Alseta, called "the welcomer"- she's a optimistic, friendly, and welcoming individual. If someone could find a character image of someone who looks similar to that, but who looks a little more welcoming, I'd really appreciate it.

I don't have an image for Denzel yet. He's a cleric of Abadar and a honest, kind merchant. Anyone have any pictures of merchants lying around?

Early/Mid 20's, human. Sorry, I should have thought of that.

As for other details.... well, I really don't have much of a concept fleshed out for him. He's lawful good, so he shouldn't appear to be clearly villainous. What little mental image I do have of him is Caucasian/Mediterranean in appearance, but that's not set in stone.

While I like the image, the expression shown by the woman in the picture is one that my character will rarely have. She serves the goddess Alseta, called "the welcomer"- she's a optimistic, friendly, and welcoming individual. If someone could find a character image of someone who looks similar to that, but who looks a little more welcoming, I'd really appreciate it.

Hey!

I need pictures of a Female Gaint for a One Piece themed game. (Unless it's very stylized, please not the one Vice Admiral in the Marine Giant Squad.)

Bonus points if her scale makes her look larger then a normal giant. Or if she actually has some build out that would leave her looking formidable if she was a more normal size.

And extra bonus points if she doesn't carry a weapon. (Character is gonna be an unarmed fighter.).

So a while ago I was asking about the fantasy version of a business suit. Came across this when I asked the same thing over on the Paizo boards. Ditch the cloak, weapons, sash and change the colour and I think I have something. Doesn't work for me as a character image, but does the job for clothing reference.

The cloak is from this picture of a lady in purple "armor" (read: underwear that looks like armor) that I cannot seem to find a second time. It's like it vanished into the ether. Maybe she cast Plane Shift.

Thanks a million! Most of those are don't exactly fit, but some capture the spirit of the character I'm making (a slightly rebellious and punk-y daughter of a low noble house, who's good at brawling and bad at most things expected from her) perfectly. Eyes are not a problem - even my 'shop-fu is good enough for that. The previous picture was good for her in her "official" looks, but those are simply the best.

Alright, I could use some help finding an image.

I'm looking for a female tiefling. Black hair preferred, any eye color is alright. Preferably will have a tail (or at least not obviously NOT have a tail). Bonus points if she has fangs of some sort. She's an arcane caster, so she can't really have armor.

As for clothing, mage robes.. but nice mage robes. Not necessarily ornate, but it shouldn't look like she's wearing a bathrobe. If she could have a jagged iron circlet on her head as well, that would be appreciated.

Unlike most casters, she does have proficiency in a melee weapon (rapier). So if she's got one of those, that's a bonus. Bonus points if the blade looks black/obsidian colored.

Feel free to use this as an opportunity to post a wide bunch of tieflings that only fulfill some of these. I'm open to options here. I will say that I am really, really, really not looking for someone who is wearing less than a bikini's worth of clothing- if I wanted that, I could have just googled the word tiefling.

I've seen this one before. It's really cool... just doesn't fit my character at all :P I probably should have given you guys more details.

To give a very, very shortened version of what's going on in the campaign- We're playing as fallen gods. I'm playing the Neutral Evil Goddess of Ambition, Conquest, Pride, Necromancy, Innovation, and Leadership. Furthermore, she's one of the Mortals who managed to ascend to godhood before the current events, where all the gods fell from their outer planes.

She was born a human, then had a stint as a vampire for a Long time. Died, went to the lower planes, and managed to slay one of the evil gods who lived down there, and consume his divinity. She's reincarnated as a tiefling to represent how her time down their has warped her significantly. The vampirism part was the motivation behind asking for fangs as an added bonus.

Overall... she should hopefully look less "half devil", and more "a human but... off". She was a human once, after all- and thats something few of the other characters in this campaign can say. In a very weird sense, she should be the "normal one".

In game, she's largely necromancy focused, so a picture with something along those lines is also welcome.

All of this said: feel free to use this as an opportunity to post those folders full of tiefling images you have, regardless if they fit what I told you. They might work for other reasons.

Overall... she should hopefully look less "half devil", and more "a human but... off". She was a human once, after all- and thats something few of the other characters in this campaign can say. In a very weird sense, she should be the "normal one".

In game, she's largely necromancy focused, so a picture with something along those lines is also welcome.

This might be a weird request, but the people in this thread are generally very helpful, so here goes. :smallsmile:

I need a Human Gunslinger that doesn't look like a handsome, grizzled badass. Basically, my character's level 1. Never seen much combat - just a guy that happens to know how to make a gun. 16 Int, 6 Charisma. So, he's clever and crafty, but not your typical "grizzled, beard, cowboy hat, leather jacket" Clint Eastwood / Roland of Gilead gunslinger. Something closer to this picture:

No laser rifles or anything (yet), which also makes it harder to find, since most characters of this type are more modern, but this is still a Pathfinder game in the default setting. I guess if I had to describe it, I'd say I'm going for somewhat of an Eberron/steampunk look - but not the over-the-top "goggles and top hat" kind, but something more subdued like the picture above.

Yeah I didn't communicate my meaning very clearly.

I want something more subdued - a character that has a gun, but looks like he could blend in in the real world (or Pathfinder world). Not a poncho/jacket/hat cowboy from a western, and not a gears-and-gizmos steampunk technomancer, but more of just a simple, fairly average looking human with a pistol.

Alright, I have another request. I'm applying for an Iron Gods Campaign, and I'm looking to play an ethnic Kellid male in his early 20s. He's a Magus who was trained to take his father's place as a blacksmith. Against every instinct I have towards playing an optimized character, I'm going for the Soul Forger archetype, which gives me some perks to blacksmithing stuff.

If you could find an ethnic Kellid who looks like he's wearing light chain armor, wielding a longsword, and casting magic of some sort, I'd really appreciate it. Bonus points if you can find a picture of someone matching this description working at a forge- who preferably doesn't look SUPER buff, albeit strong. Extra bonus points if they seem to be weaving magic into a blade they forge.

Ok, im having issues finding a picture of this and my Google-Fu is failing. Im looking for a picture of a person, armed with a flintlock, fighting a zombie, preferably in a swamp.

Frankly i will take just about anyone fighting a supernatural creature with a flintlock, as i cant seem to find anything.

Couldn't find any perfect matches, but here's some stuff that fits to varying degrees. You didn't specify sex so I assume it isn't important.

This one's technically the best match, but it doesn't give you a good character look or anything.

I'm looking for a picture of an athletically built male knight, in armor of some sort. Either banded mail or breastplate with bracers on his legs. The general color pallet for the warrior's armor and surcoat should be dulled steel for the armor itself, dark brown for any leather and blue and dark green for the cloth. In terms of weapons I'd say mainly a single longsword (historical two-handed sword) and a two-handed war hammer*, with daggers and a bow and arrow as backup.

Tried google-fu, but nothing really came up.

Need a big SoB of a Barbarian weilding some form of a Polearm, whether its a Spear, Glaive, Halberd, or any of the multitudes of weapons doesnt reeally matter much.

Bonus Points if any of the following are included:

Next to no armor, Leather or animal pelts are fine, but layers of metal plates or chainmail isnt what im looking for.
Wolf pelts, claws, or other forms of accessories would be awesome
mid-battle with an Orc horde would be awesome

This might be a weird request, but the people in this thread are generally very helpful, so here goes. :smallsmile:

I need a Human Gunslinger that doesn't look like a handsome, grizzled badass. Basically, my character's level 1. Never seen much combat - just a guy that happens to know how to make a gun. 16 Int, 6 Charisma. So, he's clever and crafty, but not your typical "grizzled, beard, cowboy hat, leather jacket" Clint Eastwood / Roland of Gilead gunslinger. Something closer to this picture:

No laser rifles or anything (yet), which also makes it harder to find, since most characters of this type are more modern, but this is still a Pathfinder game in the default setting. I guess if I had to describe it, I'd say I'm going for somewhat of an Eberron/steampunk look - but not the over-the-top "goggles and top hat" kind, but something more subdued like the picture above.

I want something more subdued - a character that has a gun, but looks like he could blend in in the real world (or Pathfinder world). Alright, I have another request. I'm applying for an Iron Gods Campaign, and I'm looking to play an ethnic Kellid male in his early 20s. He's a Magus who was trained to take his father's place as a blacksmith. Against every instinct I have towards playing an optimized character, I'm going for the Soul Forger archetype, which gives me some perks to blacksmithing stuff.

If you could find an ethnic Kellid who looks like he's wearing light chain armor, wielding a longsword, and casting magic of some sort, I'd really appreciate it. Bonus points if you can find a picture of someone matching this description working at a forge- who preferably doesn't look SUPER buff, albeit strong. Extra bonus points if they seem to be weaving magic into a blade they forge.

First my request...I'm going to run a solo Pathfinder campaign where the player character is apprenticed to a vigilante in their quest to take down an evil empire (likely Golarion's Cheliax). Toodles, y'all! o/ I've got a rather obscure request: A female Genasi Barbarian, preferably of the earthen type. Not too inhuman looking, but displaying the raw power of both rage and elemental affinity. Also (and this is the catch), preferably with modest clothing. 1. An Undying Warlock, World of Warcraft Death Knight, or "Dark" Paladin sort of theme. (Note, I said Dark Paladin, not Evil, although the imagery of Anti-Paladins will probably fill this concept much more than regular Shiney McGoldbuttons.)

Playing this in 5e D&D, really thinking about going Undying Warlock with Pact of the Blade, and playing up the "cycle of life and death" and being against the corruption of said cycle by Necromancy and other Undead type power. I am having issues really centering on any single idea, but Undying Warlock either fully leveled through, or a small dip into Paladin for Armor proficiencies has been thrown around.

2. A heavy influence of Charon, Ferryman of the River Styx in Greek/Roman mythology.

I really like the idea of being a sort of "Angel of Death" type character, although not in a malevolent way. I want to be somebody who strives to maintain the eternal cycle of Life vs. Death, and does away with, and hunts down Necromancers and Powerful Undead.

The Patron is either the following custom Diety from the campaign world, or a high ranking follower/minion in direct service to her:

Cyndelle - Goddess of Death & Night
Alignment: True Neutral
Worshipper's Alignment: Spellcasters of Good and Neutral Alignments
Symbol:
Plane: Promethia

Cyndelle is the goddess of Death and the Night. It is her responsibility to take the lives of mortals when their appointed time to die arrives, and she rarely takes lives before the appointed time. Cyndelle is only capable of taking lives by means of a natural death, and she will never kill by other means. When most mortals die, they simply fade away to nonexistence. There are some, however, who Cyndelle may deem worthy enough to take with her to Promethia, to serve some purpose in the afterlife.

She has a very heavy basis on Charon already, although the whole River Styx and "paying the ferryman" concept doesnt apply to the world at large right now.

3. Some form of Heavier Armor, Plate most likely being ideal, although anything would work as long as its metal. Weapons could include any sort of Two-Handed Weapon or a Two-Weapon set up, although a Scythe would be amazing.

The armor is heavier than what you're looking for and that's not a warhammer, though if you crop the image at the right spot it could pass for one.

...And to be honest I figured I had more than that. Sadly, my personal stash is relatively short on shorter-haired blonde women, and relatively short on lightly-armored characters in general who aren't obviously mages.

Speaking of Lovecraft...

I need a picture for Sailor Cults. Pretty much exactly what it sounds like, start with sailor's superstitions and then have crews where it...escalates. You go a little off course and suddenly the cabin boy who was having nightmares won't stop speaking in tongues and can cast divine spells and half the crew is following his orders and the party's mostly trying to stay hidden....

Anyway, there's lots of "scary lovecraft monster and tiny ship (http://i.4cdn.org/tg/1474275338977.jpg)" pics out there but I'm having some trouble finding sufficiently creepy/ominous pics focused on a seafaring vessel's crew. It needn't be over-the-top... subtle indications that something's up work just as well.

Having a crew full of sharkmen or other monsters doesn't fulfill the role of suggesting a crew that's engaged in a cult or otherwise "a bit off," no. Too overt.

They were perfectly normal-sized when I added them. :smalleek: I don't know when that happened. It seems like the website hosting them did something wonky.

This has a tendency to happen when I post images hosted by wiki sites. I'm starting to get fed up with it. :smallannoyed: Normally I would go hunt up different versions of the same image, ones that aren't from wikis, but with your wanting art I doubt it matters anyway.

Listed separately for ease of finding; since it's so rare to find a fantasy or sci-fi image of a nonwhite character, I thought I'd give them their own heading. Included are not only those who are unambiguously nonwhite but also ambiguous images that could be useful for any number of intended ethnicities. Clothing as well as physical features are taken into account; someone who looks like they could be either Asian or white but is wearing distinctly European armor will be in a different category, for instance.

I'm looking for a picture that will suit the humanoid form taken by a female green dragon. The dragon won't mind if this form hints at her draconic nature, as it's not meant to fool anyone. In particular, I'd like it if she dresses in green. If it helps, she's as devious and wily as green dragons are supposed to be. That may or may not show up in the portrait, of course.

It seems like the token women of every merc group is usually the sniper.

It's an easy way out -- lets the female character be lethal and competent (checks the "not-sexist" flag), without ever exposing her to getting punched or shot in the face (checks the "don't show women being hurt" flag).
