I'm planning a support caster in an upcoming game (specifically an Occultist), and I'm looking for things to do with my move action on rounds in which I don't need more than a 5-foot step. Any suggestions? Starting level is 2 and I have plenty of feats to spare.

Cackle (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/witch/hexes---3rd-party-publishers/hexes/common-hexes/hex-cackle-su), Grab a Feat (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/oracle/archetypes/paizo---oracle-archetypes/warsighted), Regain Psionic Focus (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/feats/psionic-meditation-psionic). It really depends on what you're building. But to be honest, you should be using your move action to move. Even if you don't think you need to, tactical situations can change rapidly and if you're not going to be focusing on your combat ability you need to do something else to prevent putting your character at risk.

Well it wouldn't be doable at level 2, but a really decent option is to pick up armor with the Fearsome ability, and the Imperious Command feat. Both are from Drow of the Underdark, and together you can stun people by intimidating them with a move action.

Edit: Well, assuming you can use 3.5 material.

When playing a caster I pretty much always use mine to Move. Getting away from dangerous areas, moving to within range of targets, using terrain and cover to stay safe, etc. There is almost always a reason to move, even when flying.
