[3.5/Pathfinder] Races that were never updated to 3.5

From 1st and 2nd Editions, what races were never properly given an update to 3e? I'd like to list them and try doing some myself. I'd like their name, a basic description, and your recommendation as to their stats, with the last bit being optional. Please start with lesser-known ones, because if it's been updated in a halfway decent 3rd-party supplement (IE Tome of Horrors) then I don't really want to do it. Same goes for Monstrous Races (those that would, realistically, be beyond LA +2/+3 or have more than two racial hit dice).

The Rakasta. They are tiger-like humanoids derived from the same myths that gave rise to Rakshasa, but have, in fact, nothing to with them.

I believe previous editions had some kind of flying squirrel-people, which briefly showed up in 5e's playtest. I wouldn't have minded playing those.
