Item components
Item components must be created during the crafting of the item they are part of, while they have a different price and craft DC than the item they are applied to they cannot be removed from it, destroying the item destroys the item component. Unless otherwise mentioned in the description of the component it uses the same craft skill as the base item. Masterwork is a core example of an item component.

Weapon components
{table="head"]name|price|craft DC
Jagged|300|25
Masterwork|300|20
Ultralight|300|20
Heavy|300|20
Oversized|500|30[/table]

Jagged
Jagged can only be applied to slashing weapons, a jagged weapon inflicts a wound that doesn't heal properly, dealing an additional point of damage every round until either a DC 15 heal check has been made or at least one point of magical healing has been applied.

Masterwork
A masterwork weapon grants a +1 enhancement bonus to attack rolls with the weapon, it also qualifies the weapon for becoming magically enhanced.

Ultralight
Ultralight can only be applied to one handed weapons or heavier, an ultralight weapon is one category lighter than it's standard counterpart at the cost of a -1 penalty to attack rolls due to the nonstandard balancing.

Heavy
Heavy can only be applied to bludgeoning weapons, a heavy weapon requires a strength of at least 13 to be used properly and deals damage as though it was one size category larger at the cost of a -1 penalty to attack rolls due to the nonstandard balancing.

Oversized
Oversized can only be applied to weapons which can be wielded in one hand, an oversized weapon deals damage as though it was one size category larger, though it is considered one category heavier.

more might come

Please tell me how balanced this is.

Isn't there a wounding enchantment on items that functions similar to Jagged? And does Monkey Grip overlap with Oversized?

The weapon attachments do make sense though.

And does Monkey Grip overlap with Oversized? It does, doesn't make monkey grip any better though.
