Psionics and races

One of the house rules I'm looking to implement going forward is ignoring the passage in PHB3 about augmentable abilities and how they interact with the human extra at-will and the half-elf's dilettante. Since they are all using the same power points, it doesn't seem to make a huge difference which equal level power they are spent on.

Is there some nasty combo I'm missing?

You give Humans a lot more versatility and Half-Elfs Bards will find any way imagineable to poach that one extra power point in order to get Augment 2 Ire Strike.

Nothing game-breaking.
