fell animate lets you create undead from creatures you kill with a spell

a duskblade's channeling ability lets you deliver a spell through a weapon's attack

if I kill something with this attack, does it trigger a fell animate spell at the same time?

Depends on effect resolution order... checking the wording...
If the melee attack is successful, the attack deals damage normally; then the effect of the spell is resolved.

So the answer is: "Maybe".

If the melee weapon damage would have killed them, then no, as they're dead by the time the spell hits anyway.
If the spell is what kills them, then yes.
