Hey y'all,
I'm hosting a session of Call of Cthulhu for my friends next week. It's my own scenario, in which strange things begin to go down on a boat stranded in the Pacific.
At one point in the session, soon after some really creepy happenings (involving lots of SAN loss), the characters head back to the bridge to rest and clear their heads. The captain will pour each of them a whisky, flick the old radio on and slump in a chair with his drink. It's at this point that the players will likely want a breather after previous action, and I'm going to play a sound file that I created. Listen to it here - http://www.4shared.com/music/LkkSEmSXba/Cthulhu.html?
This will be the first time the characters will hear the name 'Cthulhu', despite the players having their own knowledge about him.
Basically; do you think it's creepy enough? We'll be playing in an empty house with no light except a little candle lantern I'm bringing along.
I nearly **** myself just making it, but then again I'm a bit of a *****.
