Optimization question / Stat boosts

I'm trying to build my BEBG and am looking at ways to increase her stats. So far I have come up with, level increases, age increases, magic items, Wish/tome. Am I missing anything?

Can I ask why your not just setting his/her stats? There is very little reason when your creating THE bbeg to build it level by level. Make something you like. If you want their stats to be higher make them higher.

There are Prestige Classes that grant ability score bonuses (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?255377-3-5-PrCs-that-grant-Ability-Score-Bonuses).

That's generally not viable, since creativity is based on constraints.

Anyway, it really depends on the stat in question. Str is pretty easy to increase, for example, while Int is harder.

Primarily Int, but also Wis, and Con would be a plus.

If it's for an NPC, the DMG 2 Prodigy trait gives a +2 score increase, and a +4 bonus on all checks involving that stat. And all for CR +0.
