Hey all.

I was hoping you guys would tell me which classes Gestalt well with the Paladin.
At the moment I'm leaning towards Paladin/Oracle, but I'm open to ideas.

Thanks.

EDIT: Not that fussed about my role, but I guess if I had to choose it'd be a close quarters high damage type. But as long as it's fun, I don't care. This is just a side campain anyway.

Other characters are the Fighter/BArbarian Tank and probably a Sorcerer/Bard.
Might be getting a fourth player but that's not certain.

What role did you see yourself playing? What is the rest of the party leaning towards?

Added that info to the inital post.

I'm currently running a high powered gestalt game where one of the players is playing an Oracle//Paladin/Warlord (Dreamscarred Press). His main role is healing, which he is ridiculously good at, but with the addition of maneuvers and the ability to smite, he's also good at dealing damage, especially against evil enemies.

So... Pathfinder, low-op group, melee focus.

Yeah, Paladin//Oracle is a good choice. You want to mix it up in melee, so you want to focus on buff spells (long duration ones and party-wide buff spells), and mysteries that will go well with melee. Don't forget to have at least some ranged options, though.

Let's see... curses (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/oracle/oracle-curses) that might be nifty... Choleric (rage), Feral (Wildshape), Forsaken (for when you get killed, which happens a lot in melee), Hunger or Wolf-scarred Face(extra attack). Some of these give the primary benefit (for your build) at 1st level, so you may also consider Dual-cursed (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/oracle/archetypes/paizo---oracle-archetypes/dual-cursed-oracle).

Mysteries (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/oracle/mysteries)... Fitness (stat & AC boosts), Battle (Battlefield Clairity, Combat Healer, Weapon Mastery), Lunar (Form of the Beast, Gift of Claw & Horn, Primal Companion), Metal (Armor Mastery, Dance of Blades, Iron Skin, Iron Weapon).
