So my main dwarf character is going for the Crusader adding the Marshall leader type of a large group of azur-blooded dwarf crusaders designed along the Spartan Handbook phalanx principle.
He is looking for new gear to better match the role of the phalanx and was thinking about getting:
-Dwarven battle plate of Heavy Fortification and Mirror Image with Armor Spikes - From Races of Stone
-Tower Shield -Greater Anchoring and Axeblock
-Dwarven waraxe - Holy and Magebane, possibly Sudden Stunning?
-Shield sheath of infinite throwing axes +1 and possibly the wand chamber for some solid ranged attacks before engaging.
-Secondary misc magic items suited for the role are welcome as well of course
At least this is the last draft he was looking at...cash isn't really an issue at this level and all books are allowed.
Me not really understanding how a phalanx would fight in battle, I cant really help him make a decision here. Thats in part why you might have seen my many quick questions about the Phalanx recently. :smalleek:
