A couple of questions concerning the matertial found at: http://athas.org/

Q1. Would their Dark Sun books be considered official material or 3rd party? I'm curious.
Q1.5 If official material, concerning the "Soulknife" prestige class. Would the alternative class features for the base class Soulknife (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20070214a) be applicable?
Q2. Has anyone used this material before? What are your takes? I've played Dark Sun in 4e before, and I've wanted to try it in 3.5

I dont think its official (not the 3e version). But I never had the pleasure of playing a game with it.

I've run two campaigns using their material. It's really good overall, lots of options and cool setting info. There's some balance issues, like a psionic version of the Incantatrix (as ridiculous as you'd expect), and Templars are a bit weak.

I believe the rules state, or stated, that the Soulknife doesn't fit in that well, but I see no problem with it. The more psionic classes you can fit in the better. So yes the ACF is fine. The only class I ever prohibited for Dark Sun was the Paladin, since it's just really out of place.

DRAGON and DUNGEON magazine did the Official 3.5e transition for Dark Sun. Uses the Expanded Psionics Handbook rules.

Don't remember the issue numbers...
