What exactly is 3.P? I know it in context, but not precisely what it refers to. Is it the common combination of 3.5 and PF, a shorthand for 3.5/PF, or something else?

It usually refers to "3.5 and pathfinder" if it's just used in a general statement such as "This rules dysfunction appears in 3.P", or "3.5 with PF material or vice versa" if used in a specific statement such as "We should play some 3.P".

The specifics on how much Pathfinder and how much 3.5 is as varied as house rules are.

To build on this, the broad strokes are "3.5 + Pathfinder content" and "Pathfinder + 3.5 content". With a million different lines to make that ruling on.
