So, reading through the Fantasy AGE core rulebook, I find a lack of support for characters who use magic, but are not primarily mages. Yes, magic is much more limited overall than, say D&D, but still, there's no support for a Paladin analogue or an Arcane Trickster lookalike, so I thought I'd make one:

Arcane Dilettante
Rogue or Warrior Specialization

Classes: Rogue, Warrior
Requirements: Willpower 2 or higher
Special: You may take this specialization multiple times; each time you must select a different arcana, and the spell points gained do not stack.

You supplement your skill and prowess with a little magic.

Novice: You gain a pool of spell points equal to your Willpower times your current level plus 1d3 for each level up to 10 plus 5. Any time you gain a level, you gain 1d3 + Willpower SP if the new level is 10 or lower or your Willpower in SP if it is 11 or higher.

Additionally, you select a single mage arcana; you gain the Novice level in that arcana.

Journeyman: You gain the Journeyman level in the arcana you selected when you took this specialization.

Master: You gain the Master level in the arcana you selected when you took this specialization.
