Psionic Knack trait gives you +2 trait bonus to manifester level up to your HD. (Useful to multiclassing, for example.)
Overchannel Feat increases your manifester level by taking damage.
Schism portions your mind allowing you to manifest powers in addition to your normal turn at a manifester level 6 lower than your actual level. If you do so, your main manifester level is 2 lower for that round you use the Schism mind.
Do Psionic Knack and Overchannel compensate? A 7th level Telepath has a Schism of manifester level 1. Does Psionic Knack allow Schism mind to be manifester level 3 and your main manifester level remain at 7. At 8th level Overhchannel allows you to increase your manifester level by 2. At 8th level Schism would be level 2. Does Overchannel make it level 4 to access your 2nd level powers? Combine with Psionic Knack to make it level 6 and access your 3rd level powers or the reverse Psionic Knack makes it level 4 for 2nd level powers and then Overchannel to make it 6 for 3rd level powers?
