I've just been invited to play a pathfinder campaign in a gothic horror setting. I plan on playing a slayer but my character is the paranoid type, and likes to be prepared for everything. Is multiclass a viable option and if so, with what? I think having a little spellcasting might be nice.

Have you considered the going with Investigator instead of the Slayer?

I already informed the DM of my choice, and it fits my character concept better to stick with slayer

I think you misread; he isn't looking for a slayer of spellcasters, he's looking for a Slayer with spellcasting.

Nature Fang Druid (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/druid/archetypes/paizo---druid-archetypes/nature-fang) is basically a Druid with most of its non-spellcasting features swapped out for Slayer ones. Only medium BAB, though.

Red Mantis Assassin (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/prestige-classes/other-paizo/c-d/crimson-assassin) is an easy way to add some spellcasting to a sneaky chassis.

Nature Fang Druid will probably get a no as it wouldn't really fit the setting and I like the sound of red mantis assassin, however being evil might not go over well in the party.

If you can use 3rd party content, the Mage Hunter (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/path-of-war/prestige-classes/mage-hunter) is a pretty good class for adding magical flair to a previously mundane build, it does use PoW content, so that is something to consider.

I'm going to ask about it, also how would alchemist fair? It'd add a lot of utility, great buffs, and fit the setting.
