I need a large animal with 10 or less HD to drop from the sky on a group of enemies. Looking for bulk to do damage from a long fall.

A Cave Triceratops from the Miniatures Handbook is 600 pounds, and gets a trample attack that you could probably use at the same time.

Note however that the rules on falling object damage from DMG p303 only applies to falling objects. PHB page 306 defines a creature as specifically not an object, so rules that apply to objects do not also apply to creatures unless they say so. The falling object rules make no reference to a creature falling onto someone and dealing damage, therefore creatures do not deal damage when they fall onto someone, they only take falling damage.

Really? That doesn't sound all that large. A Brown Bear (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/bearBrown.htm) is 1800 lbs, three times as heavy as a cave triceratops.

The cave dinosaurs are all "mini" breeds. They're smaller than the normal version because the Yuan-Ti bred them to fit in cramped underground areas, according to the accompanying fluff.

Both good suggestions if falling animals are ruled to both deal and receive damage from a fall. In-game I ended up just summoning a janni and getting it to use planar shift to shanghai the baddie. Hooray for druidry:D
