Curious what monster has the most Natural Attacks in Pathfinder?

Which has the most but can use only one at a time? (Bite or Claw or Tail Slap)

Which one can use the most Natural Attacks at once? (Bite and Claw and Claw)

Well, off the top of my head not much is going to beat the giant octopus and similar creatures with a bite and eight tentacle attacks. There might be something that I'm not thinking of or haven't seen, probably is, but the octopus can be easily wildshaped into which should count for a lot.

Found one. Lusca (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/magical-beasts/lusca), 3 bites, 8 tentacles, so 11 total.

Shirroth (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/outsiders/demon/demon-shrroth-squid-demon-tohc)do okay with 9, bite, 2 claw, 6 tentacles.

Sand Kraken (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/magical-beasts/sand-kraken)also hits 11, 10 tentacles and a bite. Might be the winner for most natural attacks of one type.

Regular kraken (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/magical-beasts/kraken)gets 11 as well, 2 arms, 8 tentacles, and a bite. Never seen 'arms' as a natural attack before.

Not quite what you're asking about, but here's an interesting thing to store in your memory banks -

In PF - a head can only do one bite natural attack and one gore natural attack per turn - even if the gore comes from multiple places. So if the creature has a gore attack on its horns, and a gore attack on it's tusks - it only gets one of those a turn and has to choose which one to do...

However...

The tarrasque (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/magical-beasts/spawn-of-destruction/tarrasque) specifically breaks this rule with 1 bite and 2 gore attacks and no explanation as to why.

I always thought it was interesting. haha.

Twelve Headed Hydra.

This is easy. A Hydra. You see, a Hydra gets an attack with each one of its heads, and as long as you scale the CR appropriately, it can have as many heads as you want.

Do we have any idea what the average number of Natural Attacks is? At each CR?

Am trying to Homebrew some customizable Natural Attacks in a template and though I'm fairly familiar with 3.x I've been told PF tends to avoid the glut of Natural Attacks 3.x had in abundance.

You're right - the number of natural attacks are a moot point. What you need is this (http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/monsters/monsterCreation.html).

The monster creation table tells you the average damage a creature should do if all it's attacks hit for each CR available. Whether these are weapon attacks or natural attacks, it matters not.

So if the average damage is 100 at CR18 - that 100 could be reached in 1 attack or 50, it;s up to you how you want to play it.

Just remember that average damage is 100, so max damage is 200. Use max damage for your calculations into dice and modifiers and it'll make your life easier.
