Has anyone successfully played or seen played a character with ranks in Craft (fireworks), or something similar, in a D&D campaign? The ingredients for gunpowder could be somewhat common in any world. Are their any official rules for this?

Wouldn't fireworks fall under Craft(Alchemy)? That's how I would rule it. But specifically for use in fireworks? Only to make firebombs or grenades and such, not specifically fireworks.

You can probably make fireworks with Craft (Alchemy). Maybe with a penalty unless your also have 5 or more ranks in Profession (Pyrotechnician).

To make them explode in a fancy way you probably also need ranks in Perform (Fireworks).

There are fireworks in one of the Oriental Adventure books (I think). Some functioned like Dancing Lights and others were just for show.
