Currently set for 2016. Gotta say, this looks like it's taking itself way too seriously. Out of all of the Disney franchises to need a dark and gritty reboot, the Jungle Book is not one of them. The fact that we see King Louie, Kaa as a villain, and hear a few bars of Bear Necessities whistled suggests that this is indeed an adaptation of the Disney film and not Kipling's book.
Notable cast members (As said by Wikipedia) include:
Bill Murray as Baloo (Nice!)
Ben Kingsley as Bagheera (Also nice.)
Idris Elba as Shere Khan (Good.)
Scarlett Johansson as Kaa (Does not sound creepy enough in the trailer.)
Christopher Walken as King Louie (Huh? Why is he not Kaa?!)
Oddly enough, all of this just makes me want a Tail Spin reboot.
