The new VMC system has me just abuzz with fun ideas. I've always wanted to play a (non-divine) magical archer, but I really don't like the Arcane Archer PrC (even advancing casting it's still pretty useless). A using the Maguc VMC on a Fighter/Wizard/Eldritch Knight gives you a solid build with good utility coming out of the arcana. Going for an archer makes the spellstrike less relevant, but arcane pool plus 3 arcana is certainly worth 5 feats.

With a Fighter 1/Wizard 5/EK 10/Wizard 4 I get 5 bonus feats, which offsets the VMC cost, but I'm wondering if there is a better PrC for this. EK is a decent class, but it doesn't actually add anything to archery over melee. Any ideas?

In the new Heroes of the Streets book there's a Magus archetype that's based around being an archer, it's not on any sites that I know of yet but there's a copy of the page in the book right here. (https://data.archive.moe/board/tg/image/1442/38/1442387344929.jpg)

That little gem is a good deal better than myrmidarch. But, just for curiosity's sake, are there any PrCs for a wizard archer other than the AA/EK?
