I have a regular group and we swap off DM duties so everyone gets to play and no one gets burnt out.
Due to this however we never run from lvl 1-20 with a single character. Most of us come upon on GM duties with an idea of a campaign and then state what lvl the PCs will be creating their characters.
The characters will then usually gain about 4-7 lvls during the campaign.

My question is... What are some of the Multi-Class Sweet Spots?

Example:
A Fighter (champion) 5/Rogue (assassin) 3. Variant human with a feat for +5 initiative. Put it all together, and it can usually go before the enemy, attack twice with advantage on both attacks, then use Action Surge to do it again, get 2d6 Sneak Attack on one of the hits, and crit on 19-20.

I would like some ideas in the lvl 3-7 and 6-10 range.
