Unearthed Arcana Ranger Reboot Opinions?

So I've been away for a few weeks & I have recently seen that the new UA is a Ranger reboot but I haven't seen a thread discussing it. What is the playgrounds opinions? I kinda like it except I feel it gets too much HP, & still needs to fit in the Hunter archetype

Unearthed Arcana won't be a splat book.

It will be this edition's ".5".

You have 3e and 3.5, 4e and Essentials, and now you will have 5e and 5e Unearthed Arcana...

All the base classes will get upgraded and be compatable with 5e of course but they won't have the same design philosophy.

Well they won't do it yet, they are just working on stuff still.

They typically release a middle edition and a new edition on a specific timeline. Someone did the math before and they even plotted out when 6e and 6.5 will be released.

Though 5e did kill the WotC forums...
