KEEPERS OF THE HALLOWED DOCTRINE

"Though I walk in the midst of all that is unclean, though the shadow of evil falls over me, I shall not fear. For thou art with me, and thou shalt stand between me and harm."

The hallowed doctrine sets down the techniques required to purify the world of taint, establishes the code by which he or she must live and operate, and discusses the evils of taint. Unlike most, this is not a doctrine laid down before a single faith, but held by an order that spans all good faiths when confronted with taint; the Covenant of the Hallowed Doctrine. (Work in Progress)

FEATS OF THE HALLOWED DOCTRINE

Hallowed Power
Pouring the radiance of your soul through your mind, you are able to more easily wound evil creatures and even rip the taint from their forms.
-Prerequisites: Manifester level 1st, Pure Soul
-Benefit: This feat adds the good descriptor to a power. Furthermore, if the power does any physical damage to a subject possessing a taint score, the target loses 0.1 points of Taint, declared upon manifesting the power. This cannot lower the target's Taint score below your own. The power removes Taint from a single target, even if the power itself affects an area or more tha none subject (in which case you choose the target affected). You may use this ability once per day, plus one additional time per day for every five levels you possess.
-Special: You must declare whether you are using this feat before manifesting the power. If you use this feat on a creature that does not possess a Taint score, that daily use of the feat is expended. You cannot combine this feat with Hallowed Strike on a single attack. If you have both feats, you must elect to use one or the other on a given attack.

Hallowed Spell
Pouring the radiance of your soul into your spells, you are able to more easily wound evil creatures and even rip the taint from their forms.
-Prerequisites: Caster level 1st, Pure Soul.
-Benefit: This feat adds the good descriptor to a spell. Furthermore, if the spell does any physical damage to a subject possessing a taint score, the target loses 0.1 points of Taint, declared upon casting the spell. This cannot lower the target's taint score below your own. The spell removes taint from a single target, even if the spell itself affects an area or more tha none subject (in which case you choose the target affected). You may use this ability once per day, plus one additional time per day for every five levels you possess.
-Special: You must declare whether you are using this feat before casting the spell. If you use this feat on a creature that does not possess a taint score, that daily use of the feat is expended. You cannot combine this feat with Hallowed Strike on a single attack. If you have both feats, you must elect to use one or the other on a given attack.

Hallowed Strike
Pouring the radiance of your soul into your blows, you are able to more easily wound evil creatures and even rip the taint from their forms.
-Prerequisites: Pure Soul
-Benefit: This feat makes your unarmed or melee attacks good for the purposes of overcoming damage reduction. Furthermore, if you successfully attack and damage a creature with a taint score, the target loses 0.1 points of Taint. This cannot lower the target's taint score below your own. You may use this ability once per day, plus one additional time per day for every five levels you possess.

Pure Soul
Your faith or purity of mind repeals the evil within, making you resilient against taint.
-Prerequisites: Any non-evil alignment, no taint.
-Benefit: You gain a taint resistance equal to 1/3rd your character level, rounded up.
-Special: You cannot take this feat if you possess any tainted feats. If you ever take a tainted feat you lose the benefits of this feat. If you preform an act that would bestow taint upon you, or become evil, you lose the benefits of this feat until you atone and are cleansed of taint. You may acquire a taint score after acquiring this feat and retain it, provided the taint did not result from you committing an evil act.

Smite Taint
Empowered by the purity of your soul, you become able to smite all tainted by evil.
-Prerequisites: Pure Soul, Smite Evil class feature
-Benefit: Your smite evil class feature may now effect any creature possessing a Taint score. Additionally, if the target of your smite evil possesses a taint score higher than your own, they are treated as an evil outsider for the purpose of extra damage and their taint score is reduced by 0.1 on the first successful attack against them.

Turn Tainted
Calling upon higher powers, you can repel all who have souls stained by the taint of evil.
-Prerequisites: Pure Soul, Turn Undead.
-Benefit: You can use Turn Undead on any creature possessing a taint score. This does not function against any creature with a taint score exceeding your own.
