Posting 'cause there were a few CO players here back when it went F2P. Cryptic have just added a new feature "Supervillain Onslaught". This allows players to take control of a cosmic-level supervillain, choice of Grond, Medusa and Gravitar presently, and stomp around Millennium City fighting whichever players decide to join in. Heroes get tokens that allow them to play as the onslaught villains, while playing as the villain gets you tokens for new powers and gear to use on your hero. I haven't played in onslaught much, as I'm levelling a new hero, but the times I've joined in have been fun.
