Does "drift magic" do anything other than give a +1 to earth and dedication spells and making Flaywind Burst a lower level spell? The descriptions seem to IMPLY there's more (why not just write those things in the defeat description?)

Also, what are some good feats for a sand shaper?

Is there any way to abuse any sand shaper abilities?

I get the impression that they expected there to be feats or another section discussing powers to be gained from drift magic, and those didn't make the cut for the final book (if they were written at all).

12 lbs of sand = antimatter rifle + a couple of energy cells (DMG p. 146). 12 lbs is about 1/8th of a cubic foot of sand, so... DC -5, but let's say functioning weapon (+5), multiple parts (+5), and moving parts (+10). Caster level check of DC 15.

Or buy 100 GP worth of shapesand and make a Wisdom check DC 16.

Find a way to get Word of Recall, and then Contingency. Whenever you need to be resurrected, you'll transport to the wastes in a submerged area of your design and reform in ten minutes!
