I may have just royally screwed up just about every theorycraft I've ever made.:smallfrown:
Apparently, if I want to take a PrC tht requires, say, 10 ranks in a skill, the first level I can take it is 8, not 7.
Is this true? And if it is, how bad would it be to houserule that it's okay to do that?

Yes because you have to reach level 7 to reach 10. Then next level you'll meet the requirements

If it's just one skill you can use that feat from Cityscape that gives you extra rank which can bring total above usual limit (and retrain the feat later).
