Beach VII

[Kyrian]

Look, the beach!

[Timberwolf]

Nightstar accepts the sneaky kiss and replys with one of her own.

Dawnflame returns for her bucket and spade and sets to on a sandcastle.

[Kyrian]

Leonel sits up to watch their daughter.

[Jibar]

A lone green figure washes up on the beach. He appears to be dressed in a simple white shirt and blue trousers, with a leather wide-rbimmed hat clasped in one hand. His long dead black hair is tied back into a ponytail behind him. As the water laps around him, he groans, his voice deep and edible.

[Timberwolf]

Who is busily but inexpertly making a large mound of sand.

[Kyrian]

Leonel chuckles at his daughter as his player cries out in joy of the Town's recapture of Jibar.

[Jibar]

The orc groans again and stands up, clutching his head. With a quick shake to get rid of the wet, he places the hat firmly on his head and grunts.
"Evening. Which way to the nearest bar?"
Meanwhile, Jibar the player is waving his fist at Ms. E for making this place sound so great.

[Timberwolf]

Nightstar points.

That a'way, ask for Cosmo.

[Jibar]

"Thanks kid. Nice sandcastle."

He shakes his head once more, and sets off.

[Kyrian]

Leonel releases Nightstar to go over to Dawnflame, and lay on his stomach near her, watching.

[Timberwolf]

Dawnflame has made the mound. Now she's busy with the moat.

Nightstar sits up and chuckles at them both.

[Kyrian]

Leonel leans up to kiss her on the cheek.

[Timberwolf]

Daddy, shhh, this is terribly important. I can't work out how to get some water in to my moat.

[Kyrian]

Leonel smiles and puts a hand over the moat. Water slowly starts to appear in it.

[Timberwolf]

She smiles up at him and begins work on the towers

Thank you daddy

[Kyrian]

Welcome, cutie.

[Timberwolf]

Nightstar walks over to join them. She puts her arm round Leonel.

[Kyrian]

Leonel does the same to her with a big smile on his face.

[Timberwolf]

Nightstar brushes the hair out of her eyes and looks up at him.

Today is definately a good day.

[Kyrian]

And why's that, love?

Alena lands lightly on the sand, puts Alex down and teasingly kisses him before she twirls away from him.

[Hawkeye]

Alex darts after Alena and tries to capture her.

She looks back at him and shakes one finger at him, Nope. She starts to hum (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-kgP4HoGWQ) and perform the first steps to a dance....

[Hawkeye]

Alex nods and grins "Been a long time since we did this." he steps in and tries to lead her in the dance.

Alena smiles and continues to sing as he takes the lead.

[Hawkeye]

Alex smiles and ups the tempo.

[wxdruid]

Alena's eyes flash with amusement as she resists him, knowing what he wants to do.

[Hawkeye]

Alex gives a faint grin and keeps it at the current speed, and every so often he tries to increase the tempo like before.

[wxdruid]

Alena doesn't let him and continues to sing and dance at the same pace.

[Hawkeye]

Alex gives up trying to increase the tempo and dances at the current speed. A tingling sensation goes quickly up Alena's spine.

[wxdruid]

Alena shivers her wings and gives him a look.

[Hawkeye]

Alex tries to look innocent and continues the dance.

[wxdruid]

Alena tries to look sternly at him and fails miserably as they reach the end and she leans forward that last bit and kisses him.

[Hawkeye]

Alex puts his arms around her neck and kisses her back.

[wxdruid]

Alena leans into him as her knees start to fail her.

[Hawkeye]

Alex puts one arm around her waist and strokes her wing, he kisses her again.

[wxdruid]

Alena encircles them with her wings, leaving them in a dark feathery darkness. She kisses him back.

[Hawkeye]

Alex smiles and strokes her wing still. He kisses her passionately.

[wxdruid]

Alena melts against him and passionately kisses him back, her arms go up and around his neck.

[Hawkeye]

Alex picks her up into his arms "Home now?"

[wxdruid]

Alena contentedly says, "Yes, Sweetheart, home" She arranges her wings around him.

[Hawkeye]

Alex kisses her again and they vanish from the beach.

[Uberblah]

Conrad and Akil swim ashore and continue walking along the shoreline.

[Baeleck]

Mychasi flies onto the beach, and then slows. He waits for Karaglen.

[Chaotic Bob]

Karaglen flies in and slows when she reaches Mychasi.
This is the beach? How lovely...

[Baeleck]

"Yeah, it's really nice. Especially in the evenings like now." he replies, pointing at the moon's reflection on the sea.
He gives Karaglen a lick on the cheek, before he flies along a bit more and sits on a rock, looking out to sea.

[Chaotic Bob]

A pleased shiver runs through her at the lick and Karaglen happily follows Mychasi.
I think that you are right about that Mychasi.

[Baeleck]

Mychasi turns to look at Karaglen. There's a twinkle of happiness in his eyes.
"It's much better with you here though."

[Chaotic Bob]

I would say the same with you...
Her happiness is easily present on her face as she turns and promptly licks Mychasi on the nose.

[Baeleck]

Mychasi smiles shyly and licks back, laying a wing over Karaglen.
Dead time has something to say about this though, and so freezes him.

((I'm off for tonight.))

[Chaotic Bob]

Karaglen snuggles up to Mychasi, perfectly willing to join him in dead time in order to do so.

Conrad and Akil free from dead time and continue walking along the beach. After a few minutes, Akil looks up at Conrad.
Hey Conrad, I've got something I want to ask you.
Conrad looks down at Akil.
What is it, Akil?
I was just wondering if you wanted to be my master since Ishmale doesn't really spend much time with me anymore.
Conrad smiles.
Of course. I'm sure Ishmale will understand. He's good like that.
Akil smiles as much as a wolf can and nods.
Yeah. And thanks. You're awesome.
Conrad smiles a little more.
Thanks.

[Timberwolf]

And why's that, love?

Because she's happy, we're happy and the sun's shining, the sky is blue, you name it

Leonel nods. I think I'll pick...all of the above.

[Timberwolf]

I was hoping you would

Dawnflame is busily digging herself a door to the castle.

[Kyrian]

Leonel kisses Nightstar.

[Timberwolf]

She kisses back, wrapping her arms round him. Dawnflame starts to sing as only a 4 year old can, noisily and out of tune to drown the sound of mushy parents

[Kyrian]

Leonel breaks the kiss and tries to grab his silly daughter, to tickle her. You want to be silly, huh, do you? he teases and laughs.

[Timberwolf]

The rendition of "The Wheels on the Bus" is cut short with a bemused squwaak as Dawnflame is reduced to helpless giggling. Nightstar stands back, chuckling her tiny head off.

[Kyrian]

Leonel keeps tickling his daughter.

[Timberwolf]

Mummmmyyyyyyy !!!! HELLLPPPP!!!!

Dawnflame squeals.

Nightstar tries to tackle Leonel.

[Kyrian]

Gah! Leonel is tackled.

[Timberwolf]

Right, no mercy !!

The tickling commences.

[Kyrian]

Leonel begins laughing.

[Timberwolf]

Quick, Dawnflame, while he's helpless, get the spade !

[Kyrian]

Leonel keeps laughing as his player needs to run off.

[Chaotic Bob]

Karaglen gently pushes away the dead time sitting on her.

[Baeleck]

Mychasi blinks a bit and then gives a cheerful smile to Karaglen.

[Chaotic Bob]

Karaglen replies with a happy smile of her own.
This is wonderful.

[Baeleck]

"Yeah..." Mychasi replies with a dreamy sigh.
"I'm really glad I met you, Karaglen..."

[Chaotic Bob]

I'm glad, too. You're a wonderful dragon, Mychasi.
Karaglen watches the waves hit the beach and her tail curls around Mychasi's.

[Baeleck]

Mychasi entwines his tail around Karaglen's more. He nuzzles Karaglen with his snout, beaming.

[Chaotic Bob]

Karaglen gently tightens her tails grip and rubs the underside of Mychasi's jaw with the top of her snout.

[Baeleck]

Mychasi gives a slightly uneasy sigh.
"You know... Nymbryxion isn't going to be to happy about this..."
He hates to kill the moment, but felt it needed to be said.

[Chaotic Bob]

Karaglen opens her mouth to speak and simply freezes, a soft glow about her. A translucent, floating Xeni head appears in front of her. It looks her up and down and at Mychasi. Apparently those words he spoke over her awhile back had some power about them.
So one of two things just happened...either way, this involves Nymbryxion, correct?
It has turned to Mychasi by this point.

[Baeleck]

Mychasi blinks at Xeni.
"You again? What do you want with me?" he asks, scowling slightly.

[Chaotic Bob]

Call me overprotective, or whatever you wish. This was merely a one time contingency. Clearly it was not as necessary as it seemed. Carry on...but tread lightly.
That last part is added as the head looks past both of them, towards where a retriever is stalking out of sight. The head gives the two one last look before vanishing. The glow around Karaglen fades.
Why would she? Jealous of me occupying your time?

[Baeleck]

"To tell you the truth, before I met you, I knew Nymbryxion. She was one of the first people I met. I could tell she liked me, but when she went away to find the parents to our eggs, she was gone for ages. Then you came along, and, well, you're far nicer - and you don't call me cute either. Your prettier as well. Anyway, I wasn't expecting her to turn up in the tavern like that last night. That's why I kinda vanished off suddenly. She'll be angry to see me with you." Mychasi says.

[Chaotic Bob]

I see...well...
She isn't angry, or even particularly upset, though she definately didn't know how to quite handle this situation.

[Baeleck]

"I just wanted to warn you in case she says things to you that might make you think that I don't... love you," he adds, swallowing nervously, "I'd hate to loose you because of something she says."

[Chaotic Bob]

This mulls around in Karaglen's mind for a moment, trying to decide which emotions that it wants to jab at. Happy? He did say he loved her...Angry? There had been another dragon and he didn't tell her earlier...Accepting? He did in fact come forward with this...The process repeats from emotion to various emotion. Eventually something else swats it aside, resulting in a rather emotion-deprived response.
Alright...

[Baeleck]

"I... I'm sorry to ruin the evening like that. But I thought I'd say it sooner rather than later. Do you want some time to think about it?" he asks, biting his lip.

[Chaotic Bob]

I...don't know...
Part of her acknowledges that some thinking time couldn't hurt, while the other part defaults to putting some faith in Mychasi.

[Baeleck]

"I'll take that as a yes, then. I'll see you in the morning."
He gives a warm smile, and with a quick lick on her cheek, he settles down to rest - a blanket of dead time helping him off to sleep.

[Chaotic Bob]

Apparently such a moment alone was exactly what the retrievers around them were waiting for. Karaglen slowly turns at the sound of their legs hitting the sand.
Not now.
The pocket watch around her neck is suddenly surrounded by a dull blue glow.
It looks like they persist Lady Kara. There are more on the horizon. Demons accompany them.
Why now?
The voice offers no reply and the watch's ticking once more increases rapidly. Karaglen begins to rapidly grow, apparently aging at a high rate. One retriever lunges and she catches it in her clawed hand.
Leave. Me. Alone!
To accentuate the 'alone' she crushes the demonic construct in her hand. She glares and releases her icy breath and and stops several retrievers in their pathes. Her eyes widen as more continue to stalk in. So much for getting to think about what Mychasi said.

Karaglen charges, ripping through the ranks of retrievers and making a dash for Town, knowing that she didn't want the horde still here when Mychasi left dead time.

[Uberblah]

Conrad and Akil leave the beach and head to Trog's.

[Chaotic Bob]

Karaglen limps back onto the beach, normal-sized and bleeding from a gash in her side and right hand. She flops down next to Mychasi and doesn't even heal herself before she passes out.

[Timberwolf]

Leonel keeps laughing as his player needs to run off.

Nightstar discreetly reappears in a shadow after sorting out some employee difficulties and makes a mental note to place some flowers on Continuity's grave, watches Dawnflame trying to tickle her dad.

[Kyrian]

Leonel continues to laugh, and tries to pin his daughter's arms at her sides as he gives her a hug.

[Timberwolf]

She squeaks and is pinned but starts giggling anyway.

[Kyrian]

Leonel smiles at Dawnflame.

[Timberwolf]

She starts wriggling to try and get out.

[Kyrian]

Leonel holds onto her for a bit, then allows her escape.

[Timberwolf]

She jumps backwards and somehow backflips in the air, floating down to land on her feet. A wild burst of psionic energy hits Nightstar squarely in the chest, sending her flying.

[Kyrian]

Leonel jumps up. Nightstar!

[Timberwolf]

MUMMMYYYY !!!!

Dawnflame runs over to her mother who is busily picking herself out of a sand dune.

[Kyrian]

Leonel runs over as well, and helps his fiance up. Are you ok?

[Timberwolf]

She spits out a bit of sand and hugs her sobbing daughter close.

Yep fine. You're getting stronger sweetie.

[Kyrian]

Leonel holds them both close, kissing Dawnflame's cheek. It's ok, cutie.

[Timberwolf]

Dawnflame buries her face in Nightstar's shoulder and keeps sobbing

It'll never be ok, I'll always be a freak.

[Kyrian]

You're not a freak, cutie. You're our daughter. A very lovely one at that. Definitely not a freak.

[Timberwolf]

But no one else hurts their mummy !! No one else does things that no one else can !!

[Kyrian]

Hey now, that's not true. I can create things, unlike pretty much everyone I know.

[Timberwolf]

She sniffles a little.

And mummy can get shadows to do all sorts of things, you're not alone.

She keeps her face burried in Nightstars shoulders but the sobs are coming less frequently now.

[Kyrian]

Leonel gently rubs his daughter's back to try and calm her more.

[Timberwolf]

She's still sobbing but quietly now.

[Kyrian]

Leonel holds them both, as his player apologizes that he needs to leave, for the day, now.

Gwen walks down to the beach, and down to the water. She walks along the waters edge, occasionally looking out to sea. She finally sits down, her toes in the surf as it moves back and forth, up and down the shoreline. She watches as her feet slowly get buried in the sand. She hugs her knees and stares out to sea.

Gwen sleeps, lulled to sleep by the sound of the sea, the surf still licks at her feet and the bottom of her skirt is wet.

[Kyrian]

Leonel curses his player's summer schedule, and looks to his fiance and daughter.

[Timberwolf]

one of whom is still cuddling the other.

*sniff*

[Kyrian]

It's ok, Dawnflame. Leonel gently tries to remove his daughter from his fiance, so that he may hold her.

[Timberwolf]

She passes her over.

You're getting better sweetie

[Kyrian]

Leonel nods his agreement, and kisses his daughter on the cheek.

[Timberwolf]

She gives him a big hug.

[Kyrian]

You ok now, cutie?

[Timberwolf]

I just wish I could make it stop.

[Kyrian]

Leonel just holds her close. He neither wants to agree, nor argue her words. Her life was hers to choose how to live, even if she were only four years old at this time. Who was he to tell her that she should get rid of her gifts? Or to stop her from wishing she could? He knew that either way she'd be special to him. Always.

[Timberwolf]

((Awwwwwwwwwww))

The little one just snuggles while her mother comes in for a hug too.

[Kyrian]

Leonel smiles, having absolutely no problem in having Nightstar join in. He looks his fiance in the eyes. I love you both, more than words could hope to describe.

[Timberwolf]

I love you too daddy.

Nightstar lets actions speak louder than words.

[Kyrian]

Leonel grins at his daughter as he shifts her into one arm so he can attempt to pick Nightstar up with the other.

[Timberwolf]

She lets herself be picked up and smiles at their daughter.

[Kyrian]

So then, what am I going to do with you two wonderful girls?

[Timberwolf]

Take us home and bring us muffins ?

I like muffins.

Who's been giving you muffins ?

[Kyrian]

Leonel laughs. I believe I can do that.

[Timberwolf]

I see, using the parental privilige of spoiling her rotten are we ?

[Kyrian]

Hey now...you mentioned it first.

[Timberwolf]

Hmmm, perhaps you are not the guilty one who has been slipping her muffins. I must find this betrayer in the family midst and purge them.

What does "purge" mean mummy ?

It means hold them down and tickle them mercilessly

Aunt Snowraven wouldn't like that would she ?

No, she wouldn't.

She looks at Leonel and her face says "And so the mystery is solved..."

[Kyrian]

Leonel laughs, finding it quite funny how short that mystery was.

[Timberwolf]

It's amazing just how much kids give up when they think they're keeping a secret. Never tell a 4 year old anything.

The 4 year old in question snuggles against Leonel, the wind sending her hair flying out.

[Kyrian]

Leonel holds them both close as he heads back to the Shelby. At the same time he's mentally kicking his player's stupidity.

[Timberwolf]

((what's his player done ?))

[Kyrian]

((Oh, well, Java is pissing me off, and keeps getting a runtime error. So half the stuff online, such as adding photos to Facebook, I can't do. Well, I opened up the task manager and saw one .exe listed multiple times. Guess that wasn't the right thing to start closing, because I crashed the computer.))

[Timberwolf]

((Ouch, think you may have a virus there at all ?))

Nightstar hops down to get behind the wheel while quiet, but rythmic breathing, suggesting tired out snoozing can be heard from Leonel's arms.

[Kyrian]

((No...for some damn reason the thing's working now. Bet it STILL won't work for AFIM...))

Leonel quietly climbs into the passenger seat, while still holding Dawnflame.

[Timberwolf]

Nightstar starts the car and gently heads back to the garage.

((Where they are now :) ))

Kerra walks onto the beach and gazes at the glimmering ocean.

[Chaotic Bob]

Xeni walks in from the streets, smiling happily.
Beautiful.
It is unclear whether he's talking about Kerra or the ocean.

[puss in boots]

Kerra continues to gaze at the view. Can't belive I never came here.

[Chaotic Bob]

Xeni steps next to her and stares out to sea.
I've never been here either...

[puss in boots]

Kerra nods and inches closer to Xeni.

[Chaotic Bob]

Xeni would appear to be utterly oblivious as he continues to watch the waves ride in.
Makes it more special to come with you, though.

[puss in boots]

Kerra's smile widens and she glances at him.

[Chaotic Bob]

Xeni is still happily staring at the ocean, still talking about Kerra and the ocean simultaneously looking very nice.

[puss in boots]

Kerra picks a flat shell and a rock of the ground and starts carving the shell.

[Chaotic Bob]

Xeni looks over at the sound of carving, still smiling.
I didn't know you carved.
He then gets nicked by dead time as his player makes an apologetic exit.

Gwen sighs heavily as she wakes up, she doesn't move, she watches the sea move endlessly back and forth and wonders how it can stand to be so unchanging.

[AmberVael]

There is a slight, heated breeze that flows in from the opposite direction of the ocean, and a flicker of fire accompanies it.
The wind and fire pause for a moment, then whip it a shimmering, white and red shape that seems to have been crafted from firelight and celestial energies. Honestly, this is quite accurate, as it is Fenix.
But not Fenix as the Town knew him- the Fenix that had been bound to Vael. This is Fenix as a celestial. He is far more graceful, and is wearing a strange garment that shines like he does.
He has formed facing Gwen, a look of concern on his face.
Gwen? Are you alright?

[wxdruid]

Gwen, her feet buried in the sand, her skirt damp up to her knees and the tide has gone out, she looks up at Fenix without much expression, I don't know. Why are things that should remain constant, not always so? Yet the sea, it is always the same.

[AmberVael]

Fenix sits next to her and gently puts an arm across her shoulders, his innate sense of emotions giving him his answer even if her words didn't.
While it was barely even recognizable when he was bound to Vael, his touch is now obviously warm and magically empathetic.
His voice is very gentle when he next speaks.
If there were an answer I could give, would you be here, Gwen?

[wxdruid]

Gwen puts her forehead on her knees and closes her eyes. The sea would still call to me, maybe I should walk in and never return. It would be so much simpler.

[AmberVael]

Fenix very gently runs a finger from the back of her head, up and behind the ear, to a spot just above and behind the eyes, where he begins tracing small circles.
It's somehow not an intimate touch, actually, but it is oddly soothing and relaxing.
He tightens his other arm around her.
You know that's not the answer, Gwen.

[wxdruid]

Gwen slowly relaxes but doesn't look up at him, No, I know it isn't, but ... I don't know.

[AmberVael]

Fenix doesn't stop the gentle motion of his hand as he softly asks his next question.
What's bothering you, Gwen?

[wxdruid]

Things go by to quickly here. Before you know it, you're saying goodbye and you thought you just said hello.

[AmberVael]

Fenix gives a soft sigh and removes his hand from her head, pulling her into a hug.

[wxdruid]

Gwen can't stop herself and sobs into his shoulder.

[AmberVael]

Fenix puts one hand behind her head as he holds her close, letting his care and concern for her flow through the slight link his touch creates.

[wxdruid]

Gwen cries til she runs out of tears. She sniffles and wipes her eyes but doesn't otherwise move.

[AmberVael]

Should I take you home, Gwen?

[wxdruid]

Gwen suddenly looks up, her eyes still red, No, she pulls her feet out of the sand and turns around, her back to Fenix.

[AmberVael]

Fenix winces, sensing that he had done something dreadfully wrong.
He keeps his arms around her, however.
Okay then. I just don't want you to be uncomfortable out here.

[wxdruid]

Gwen mutters, I'm a druid, how could I be uncomfortable.

[AmberVael]

Just because you love nature and get power from it doesn't mean you have to love getting your dress wet and sandy.
Fenix's voice is gentle, light, and slightly teasing.

[wxdruid]

Fine... Gwen glares at her dress and a small shower appears over it, she rinses it off along with her bare feet. Happy now?

[AmberVael]

Fenix just calmly holds her and massages gently at the base of her head, waiting for her to settle again.

[wxdruid]

Gwen, despite herself, slowly relaxes again. She puts her arms around her knees and puts her forehead on her knees.

[AmberVael]

Fenix moves his hand up higher, inwardly debating whether it would be worth the trouble to try and undo her braid and relax her that way.
He, as of the moment, is guessing no.

[wxdruid]

Gwen starts to bury her feet in the sand again as the tide starts to come in.

[AmberVael]

Fenix looks at the tide with a wary eye.
Ah... Gwen?

[wxdruid]

In a weary voice Gwen replies, It'll be fine, it'll come up to where my feet were before.

[AmberVael]

He gently starts massaging her shoulders, outwardly taking her at her word, while secretly really really hoping that she's right.

[wxdruid]

Gwen can't help but like a massage and it does wonders for her tense muscles, after all, she's been there on the beach for a long time.

The sea comes up to where her feet were before and no further.

[AmberVael]

Fenix relaxes more, though he keeps an eye on the water.
He begins using both hands, brushing her braid out of the way.

[wxdruid]

Gwen pulls her braid over her shoulder for him. She takes something small out of her pocket and puts it in her lap to look at.

[AmberVael]

Fenix doesn't even try to take a look, just shifts his massage a little lower.

[wxdruid]

Gwen sits up a little, making it easier for him. She stares off into the distance.

[AmberVael]

Are you feeling a bit better?

[wxdruid]

My muscles and back feel better. Thank you.

[AmberVael]

Fenix slowly stops his massage and hugs her again.

[wxdruid]

Gwen sighs, she puts the medal back in her pocket, unwilling to throw it out in the water and relaxes into Fenix's hug.

[AmberVael]

Fenix waves his flaming wings out behind him, letting the warmth they generate wash over them both.

[wxdruid]

It feels good Fenix, because despite the fact she can choose to be comfortable, she has chosen not to.

[AmberVael]

I just want to help you in what ways I can, Gwen.
He smiles at her.

[wxdruid]

It's good to have someone sit with me.

[AmberVael]

You made the offer to me, Gwen. I'll make it to you.
I'll be there for you if you need a shoulder to cry on, or a friend to help you out.

[wxdruid]

Thank you Fenix, do you mind if I change shape?

[AmberVael]

Fenix shakes his head.
Not at all.

[wxdruid]

Gwen wildshapes into a tabby cat and looks up at Fenix, she points one paw towards his lap.

[AmberVael]

Fenix smiles and picks her up, putting her in her lap.

[wxdruid]

Gwen curls up and gets comfortable.

[AmberVael]

Fenix pets her, smiling at her choice of animal.

[wxdruid]

Gwen closes her eyes and begins to purr, feeling warm and safe.

[AmberVael]

Fenix rubs behind her ears.

[wxdruid]

She purrs louder and perks her ears forward.

[AmberVael]

Fenix smiles happily, glad that he's helped her out a bit.
And he keeps rubbing behind her ears.

[wxdruid]

Gwen purrs and enjoys the attention. She yawns, feeling a bit sleepy.

[AmberVael]

Gwen lets her reply roll across the public part of her mind.

I really don't care, I'm not going home yet. The beach is the same as everywhere else.

I could get you a room at Trog's.

[wxdruid]

Gwen mentally sighs, Why?...it's indoors, I just don't feel like being indoors, I don't feel like anything. The sea at least talks to me.

[AmberVael]

Fenix smiles.
Okay then.
He changes his rubbing to scratching.

[wxdruid]

Gwen slowly rolls over under his hand, exposing a furry stomach.

[AmberVael]

Fenix scratches her stomach, smiling at her.

[wxdruid]

Gwen purrs and idly bats at his hand with one soft paw.

[AmberVael]

Fenix keeps scratching, pausing when she bats his hand.

[wxdruid]

Gwen licks her paw, looking unconcerned.

[AmberVael]

Fenix chuckles and starts rubbing.

[The_Librarian]

Further along the beach, Libris, carrying Jonah and accompanied by Greeny, heads down on to the sands and sits down, looking out at the sea and playing with the infant.

Gwen gives Fenix a more contented look and stretches.

[AmberVael]

Fenix looks over at Libris and co and waves.

[The_Librarian]

The librarian waves back and gets to her feet, wolf following close behind.

"Hello," Libris says, settling on the sand near Fenix and the feline Gwen. "Quite a nice evening for it."

Greeny grins at the cat and wags his tail.

Fenix looks a fair bit different, Libris may notice.

Gwen curls back up and tucks her tail underneath her body. She watches everyone with green cat eyes.

[The_Librarian]

Greeny pouts wolfishly at the lack of an easily biteable tail and lies down heavily with a flumph! of sand. The librarian looks up at fenix curiously.

"Forgive me, but last time we spoke you looked a little different... did you get a haircut? No, wait, don't tell me... changed species?"

Jonah, seeing a piece of the librarian's hair fall with reach, grabs hold and then promptly forgets that she's holding anything.

[AmberVael]

Fenix smiles.
I've gone back to my celestial form.

[wxdruid]

Gwen stops purring until Fenix starts petting her again.

[AmberVael]

Fenix starts petting Gwen again, chuckling a little.

[The_Librarian]

"Celestial? Holy sort of thing?" the librarian asks.

Greeny wonders if he should have learnt more feline. He clears his throat.

{Feline} "Generic greeting princess," he says to the cat.

Gwen pushes her head up against Fenix's hand, encouraging him as she starts to purr again.

She tilts her head oddly at Greeny, {feline} Hello Greeny.

Yes, holy sort of thing.
Fenix grins at the description.

[The_Librarian]

The librarian lowers her voice conspiratorially*.

"You're not on some holy vengeful quest are you?"

Greeny barks with surprise.

"You know, I can never recognise you like that."

[wxdruid]

Gwen winks at Greeny and starts licking her front paws.

[AmberVael]

Of course not. I just stopped by because I saw Gwen.

[wxdruid]

Gwen noses Fenix's hand

[The_Librarian]

The librarian rearranged herself so that her knees are together and sloping so Jonah can lie on them, but still be fairly upright. Libris holds out her fingers and Jonah grabs hold of them, trying to pull herself up. Libris looks relieved.

"There's so much more to life that allignments."

Greeny stretches contentedly.

[AmberVael]

Fenix nods, looking slightly sheepish.
It took a bit for me to realize that.
He scratches under Gwen's chin.

Gwen purrs for him.

((and I'm off for dinner, bbl))

[The_Librarian]

The librarian grins.

"Hi. I'm an ex-paladin. So what made you reach that conclusion?"

Having my mirror, a devil, pointing out my hypocritical ways helped me out some...

[The_Librarian]

"Oh gods, the mirror town?" The librarian shudders. "That place always gives me the creeps. For me... the god I served was not the god I thought I served."

[AmberVael]

Fenix nods.
I must admit, I wasn't too keen on being around my duplicate. But he made some good points.

[The_Librarian]

"Perhaps. But then what did he have to gain by making such points?"

[AmberVael]

Peace with me? I was about to chop his head off just because he was a devil...

[The_Librarian]

The librarian winces.

"Ouch... well yes, he stood a lot to gain then. I'm glad you've made peace with yourself. It doesn't do anyone any good to be full of inner turmoil all the time."

Jonah makes a few repetitive noises along the lines of "Ba ba ba..."

[AmberVael]

Things are better for me now. Though I honestly wish I could see Phoenix again.

[The_Librarian]

"What happened, if you don't mind me asking?"

[AmberVael]

Fenix shrugs.
Last I knew she went to Phoenixineohp's house. I haven't seen her since.

[The_Librarian]

Greeny looks up as Pxp is mentioned.

"Sorry to hear that," the wolf says sympathetically. "Is Phoenix a phoenix like Pxp?"

[AmberVael]

Ah... mostly.

[The_Librarian]

"Well, isn't it kind of in their nature to keep coming back when all seems lost?"

[AmberVael]

We'll see if she returns.
Fenix gives a small smile.

[The_Librarian]

The librarian smiles.

"What's meant to be, will be."

[AmberVael]

Fenix gives a small sigh and pets Gwen.

[The_Librarian]

Jonah begins to wriggle restlessly.

"Well Fenix, it's been a pleasure catching up with you. You take care of Gwen," she adds with a smile. "After all, she took care of us."

"G'night Fenix! Sleep well, Gwen!" Greeny says, following the librarian away from the beach.

I hope we meet again, Libris. Greeny.
He waves goodbye to them.

Gwen watches them go and closes her eyes.

Fenix gently pets Gwen on the head.

[wxdruid]

Gwen purrs and settles in more comfortably. She's not willing to move from where she is.

Fenix begins humming a soft song as he keeps petting her.
