The sentinel prestige class's aligned strike class feature has some confusing wording. It makes it seem like the feature gives you both the ability to bypass damage reduction based on your deity's alignment, and to give your attacks with the deity's favored weapon an alignment. Is this how it works? Or is it just the ability to bypass the specific damage reduction?

How it works is - there are 5 to choose from: Lawful, Good, Chaotic, Evil, and Neutral. If your deity's alignment matches any of these, you can pick that one and treat your deity's favored weapon as having the corresponding enchantment. For example, if you worship Iomedae (LG) you can pick either Lawful (turning your weapon axiomatic) or Good (turning your weapon holy.) Whereas if you worship Calistria (CN) you only get Chaotic, and thus get to treat your weapon as anarchic. "Neutral" is only available if your deity is True Neutral.

What might be confusing you is that table that the PFSRD stuck next to this ability for some reason, with various alignments and DRs listed in it. Ignore that table - it's meant to go with the "Unstoppable Warrior" ability at the capstone.

Wow that makes so much more sense. Thank you very much.
