hello there,

i'm playin clr6/rsop3 for our undead based campaign.

i was thinking to take hand of the faithful spell. and confused abit.

its creating 10ft sphere and fortitude save requiring to get in if not succeed the creature becomes stun.

so if i put the spell is undead unable to move in?

basically its harmless (stun) and should work. but i want your opinions.

Regards,

As far as I can tell, undead are immune to this spell due to it being a fortitude spell that doesn't work on objects and on top of that are also immune to stunning.

Where's the version of Hand of the Faithful you're looking at from? Because I'm not seeing "Harmless" tag on the Spell Compendium one.

"Harmless" spells are ones that say "harmless" after their saving throw entry (like Nondetection (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/nondetection.htm)). They're usually actively beneficial; just not doing damage doesn't mean a spell is harmless. You wouldn't call getting stunned in the middle of combat harmless, after all.
