Help with this MC!

Hey playground! I am joining a game soon and really want to build a optimized character since the other player are fairly OP, the only problem is: I really want to play a beastmaster. So the concept I have in mind is a Ranger Beastmaster/ Rogue Assassin Halfling who rides a Panther and is a deadly hunter with his companion.

EDIT: I am starting level 5!

I have already read Easy_Lee's guide to the Beastmaster!


If you guys could help me with some optimization ideas that would be really great! :smallbiggrin:

Beastmaster/ Rogue Assassin Halfling

First thing, Rangers are largely considered the weakest class, if that's okay with you that's fine, I just want to make sure you are aware of this.

You'll want a lvl 3 Dip of Rogue Assassin, at least 11 Beast Master for the extra attacks. 2 levels of fighter for action surge make your assassinate better, or 3 levels for Champions crit chance increase is good too.

After that, just go with what fits your play style, this isn't a optimized build, so don't sweat getting everything perfect.
