I have a long run campaign setted in a almost classic fantasy world that will soon face a "christian mythology Apocalypse" as in Book of Revelation or Apocalypse of St. John. (in a way not dissimilar to the Bastard! japanese manga).

So, at one momen the infamous beast of te sea will appear (around 16th-20th level)

In short, the beast is something like this

It's described as something with seven heads, ten horns, regenerative powers... so I decided to go with the Hydra as "base creature"

But then? Can you suggest me templates (even 3.5 ones) or anything like that that will suggest a powerful sea related hydra? With a range of powers "near Epic" that would make it appropriate for a high level party?

Also, one of my players has a druid he also used in a previous iteration of the same campaign ended abruptively years ago.

Back then (in 3.5) he was a Wildshape-Focused druid whose favorite form was that of a hydra.

I'm willing to house rule pathfinder wildshape to allow him to transform in that creature...and at last, if the character decide to follow this path and be granted this power HE will be the profetized Beast of the Sea (a powerfull druid in hydra form would be a perfectly powered beast of the sea...but at this point there is still the "sea theme" to be added in some way)

I was thinking about a Feat or a chain of feats... but it's difficoult as there are spells to turn yourself into a dragon but not into an Hydra, as far as i know

So, any ideas for both "ways" the beast would appear?
