It says it's got a Duration: 1 round/level or until discharged

Then, in the description, it says " the wielder can discharge this spell as a free action to open a gash on the target’s forehead that deals bleed damage"

So, that implies that it stops having its duration that was mentioned above....but doesn't mention the duration in which the bleed damage plays out. Does it just keep bleeding until it is stopped?

For 1/level rounds when you hit someone with a slashing weapon you may end the spell to cause the one you hit to bleed as well. The bleed lasts until they heal, as all bleed does.

That's what I thought. Just looked a little ridiculous.

I agree, they could have worded it better. But due to the constraints of their own syntax, I think that is the best way for them to.

Yes.
The Bleed damage (and additional effects per the spell) persist until the Bleed is stopped the 'normal way'.
Conditions: Bleed (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/conditions#TOC-Bleed)

Bleeding can be stopped by a DC 15 Heal check or through the application of any spell that cures hit point damage
