Hey...

I was wondering if there existed any spells, that enables the caster to move structures? I was thinking of moving my mansion in a game onto a pocked plane... how would I do that?

Thanks

There is such a spell that teleports buildings. (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/t/teleport-structure) But, teleportation effects does not go across planes.

Your structure is technically a Colossal object* so if you have 32 CL, you can cast animate object on it and then plane shift along with it.

*Colossal is defined as 64+ ft in length/height and 125+ tons in weight. Colossal+ is a virtual size category applicable only to dragons, and Colossal++ is not a real thing.

Edition is important... what exact system are you working with?

However, in most for this forum, in theory, you should be able to use Shrink Item (repeatedly) or Polymorph Any Object (repeatedly) to get the building down to moveable chunks, and then just take it with you on a normal Plane Shift, and rebuild it on the other end.

Likewise, as Flickerdart noted, sufficient caster level shenanigans, you should theoretically be able to cast Animate (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/animateObjects.htm) objects (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/a/animate-objects) on it to turn it into a creature (temporarily), and then Plane Shift it. You will, however, need a caster level of 32 to pull that off, and while it's doable in 3.5 at least, it's non-trivial. I'm unsure if it can be done in Pathfinder.

We are playing D&D 3.5.

An alternative is if you can get yourself into a shape and strength that can lift the building itself. If so, the you pick it up and teleport yourself, as it's now one of your possessions. Animating it is probably a better option though.

Ooh, yes. Polymorph/Shapechange into a quadruped with an absurd amount of strength, UMD a scroll of Giant Size (Complete Arcane), and then yes, just pick it up and cast Plane Shift. That'll do it. Nice and straightforward, too.

It's generally not possible to "just pick up" a building without severe structural damage, since the foundation will be rooted firmly in the ground. Even if you dug it up, a building isn't really built to be carried - you'll have pieces breaking because it can no longer distribute its weight correctly.

True, but magic can make fix to such issues very quick.

Also, I remembered where the picking up a building thing came from. It was a Carmen Sandiego themed Iron Chef build: http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=12203753&postcount=311

You could use a 'lyre of building' (DMG) to turn your mansion into a ship (There are items in the Arms and Equipment Guide that would enable you to put wheels on your ship, or allow it to fly as well).

Then, you can designate a single loyal and/or summoned creature as its captain, and use a 'ship in a bottle' (Dragon 318) to capture it in a small bottle.

Finally, you can pick it up, plane shift to your new home, and pop it back out.

Stronghold Builder's Guidebook has rules for mobile buildings. For a plane shifting stronghold that's 25,000gp per 20x20x10ft space.

Isn't there some adaptation of Locate city Bomb that could be used here? Also, isn't there a living vault spell that can be used for this?

It isn't 3.5, it's P, but you may allow some bleed over. You could do something like making your mansion an Instant Fortress, so you can shrink it up and drop it in your bag. Another option is to not move the mansion from its physical location, and have a Well of the Welcome Respite, which acts as a portable-hole style doorway to your mansion.
