Belkar's Animal Companion?

Where is his animal companion? He has to be higher than fourth level, and Wisdom doesn't affect that, unlike spells. Did he kill it in On the Origin of P.C.s? Am I missing something?

i'm guessing belkar ate it cause the rangers list of animal companions aren't that useful for direct combat which is pretty much what belkar does.

Yeah, no sign of an animal companion for Belkar. Nothing on it in otOoPCs

I think his companion died (and not because Belkar killed for xp. Its a class ability, so no xp from killing it). Belkar just doesn't have the patience for that 24 hours of uninterrupted prayer to get a new one.

Maybe one of the summoned animals Roy carried around for a while in that bag would want to be Belkar's animal companion. :p I mean, they could go Roy-hating together, what with Roy summoning the animals in mid-air and all that.

It's probably like a familiar so it only exists when a player acknowledges it. Knowing belkar, he's probably forgotten about it.
