Say I have a monster with improved grab that applies to his claw attacks, but said monster also has 4 claw attacks. When initiating an improved grab do you make all 4 attacks, then get a chance to start a grapple once for each attack that hits? Do you make the attacks one by one, attempting to initiate a grapple after each one? If you successfully start a grapple on the first claw, can you still make the remaining three attacks at the -4 for using a natural weapon in a grapple or do you forfeit the rest of your attacks for the round?

In order:no, yes, no, depends.

If you just hold them in the claw, they'd take the rest of the attacks at no penalty. If you grappled them full-on before your attack was finished, you'd stop right there.

If you try to start a grapple and fail you can continue to make the claw attacks until you succeed though right?

Yep, you aren't in a grapple yet, so the rules for grappling that would prevent the full-round attack from continuing don't apply.
