(I originally posted this in RPGs, but it was suggested I bring this over here)

So I just bought a whole bunch of fantasy army men (like these guys (http://amzn.to/1N1sxyT) and these guys (http://amzn.to/1Wd8wWA) and these guys (http://amzn.to/1Wd8xd2)) and I was wondering, has anyone here tried painting them like they were real miniatures (like Reaper or such)? I kind of want to pain them and make town guards for campaigns (and let my players/students paint them as custom minis for their characters).

Anyone have any experience in this regard?

It should be fine as long as you use undercoat on them. I would recommend Citadel black spray paint; it's cheaper and better than anything else I've found. Just avoid getting it everywhere. :smalltongue:

Awesome, thanks!

Though I wonder, does anyone have any they'd want to show off? And when I'm done, should I show off mine?
