[3.5] Help Finding a Monster

Hey all,

I'm looking for a particular kind of monster, been wracking my brain and hitting the books, and need some help.

Looking for a Monstrous Humanoid or Giant; no penalty to Int or Wis; Survival as a racial skill (must have monstrous HD); martial or exotic weapon proficiency a bonus; must be CR 3 or lower.

Does such a beast exist?

The closest I've found is the Equiceph, but I'm wondering if there is a better fit?

Would a young (imported from PF) phrenic centaur work? I think I've seen a +0 LA/CR variant somewhere (maybe Dragon Magazine) that gives +2 Int, but I'm currently struggling to find it...

The Nycter (MM3 p.113) has a Wisdom bonus, Survival as a racial skill, three Monstrous Humanoid HDs and is CR 2.
