You can download the Basic Rules pdf here (https://dnd.wizards.com/articles/features/basicrules).
There are some extra races in the Elemental Evil Player's Companion here (http://media.wizards.com/2015/downloads/dnd/EE_PlayersCompanion.pdf).

Wizards of the Coast also has some documents that list all spells, all monsters, and so on. Google "Wizards of the Coast" and start browsing (firewall won't let me post them).

Also, it's for the best that we don't post all of this information on a forum like this because of the potential for lawsuits. We like our little forum, and want to keep it a good place to gather and discuss this game, and we don't want to step on the developer's toes.

Also, I think it's against the forum rules...

I do not believe Wizards is going to object if this forum, via links, drives traffic to their website and increases the visibility of their product.

That depends. Things that WotC has made free for use, such as the Basic Rules or Player's Companion, can be freely posted. Something like an illegal PDF of the core books would not. In this case, I think posting the racial boosts would be fine, but to the OP, I'll say if you haven't got at least your Player's Handbook, you won't be able to play properly (unless you only use the races and classes in the Basic Rules/Player's Companion).

You'll want to do a search for 5e character sheets as well; WotC has some decent printable ones, but if you want editable PDF you'll have to go elsewhere, and I haven't found any real good ones yet.

That's what I meant to say; I think that we shouldn't be sharing their intellectual property online unless they're posted it in a public place. They make their money on selling their books after all.

Yes, the OP said he had ordered it, but still, I think that it's better to just avoid this grey area...

Like others have stated, most of the information you might need are available in the free releases. If you wish to play a character that uses an option not listed there, we cannot post it for you, so you will need to get your hands on a copy of the book somehow. Heck, you can probably just ask a gaming buddy for thirty minutes with their copy.

Once you pass that particular hurdle, if you desire advice on actually putting the characters together, the best place to look might be the link at the bottom of my post. I maintain a list of resources, including character creation guides.
